This article first analyzed the influence of religious spiritualism in Peruvian education, from before independence to the present. Educational humanism was later defined as a philosophy that seeks the integral formation of the human being in academic and moral aspects. It was then argued that the concept of "spirit" as a representation of the human essence is a fiction that hinders the development of moral and academic competencies, in addition to hindering interculturality due to the dogmatic influence of Catholicism. Subsequently, the idea of God was refuted and agnosticism was proposed as the most appropriate position when referring to something transcendental. Finally, it was suggested that philosophy and ethics can fill the void left by religious spiritualism more appropriately and correctly in humanistic educational philosophy. In this article we have used the analytical hermeneut...

At present there are several problems that affect students and their academic performance such as low socioeconomic status that can cause lack of resources both in their homes and in the school. In addition to psychological and personal problems in which students can be involved. According to various national and international examinations the academic level in Peru is quite low because the problems mentioned above are difficult to identify, it is not possible to propose a viable solution, which is why we propose a Machine Learning model based on Clustering algorithms such as KMeans, Birch and Aglomerative that manage to group students by the most relevant characteristics or disadvantages they present.

Problem-solving is becoming more and more seen as an important skill for college students to learn to build metacognitive skills, critical thought, and the ability to learn on their own. Even though this skill is very important, there aren’t many approved tools that can be used to test it in schools, especially in Peru. The goal of this study is to fill in that gap by creating and testing a short problem-solving scale based on the Rational Problem-Solving Style, which stresses taking a planned and organized approach to problems. 733 Peruvian college students (mean age: 21.56 years, standard deviation: 4.15 years; 59.89% female) took part. A 15-item Problem-Solving Questionnaire and used experimental (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to test it. The scale’s validity and reliability were checked, along with its link to academic self-efficacy. There were four parts to the...

The objective of this essay is to analyze some issues related to the responsibilities of both teachers and parents and that were decisive for the mishandling and control of information by Peruvian students, resulting in serious problems in the school. development of educational skills during the pandemic period. For which, we have raised some ideas that will help us explain the problem. First of all, it is not possible to replicate the achievements of face-to-face education in distance education. (LP) of dissocial behavior indicators. Such findings compel to suspect the presence of dissocial personality in that population. On the purpose to add knowledge to this problem, the present paper analyses the concept of dissocial personality and discusses the results of a pilot-study that evaluated its presence in recently admitted students to San Marcos University´s School of Medicine. In the first evaluation, it was found that 33 out of 175 students resulted positive to dissocial behavior indicators (LP: 19%). From this group, 30 showed up for a second diagnostic evaluation; 5 exceeded the cut-off point to dissocial personality and 11 showed scores very close to it, raising suspiciousness of such development. Upon these results we claim the university must accept the responsibility to continue researching this area, create early preventive-therapeutic interventions and curricula innov...

The Physical Education contents in the national curriculum express political projects and changing ideas about what we want sport to be for new generations over time. This research identifies the socio-political utility given by the Peruvian State to Physical Education throughout the 20th cen-tury, distinguishing three different visions of sport for society. The course was inserted in schools at the beginning of the century to solve social problems: strengthening the race, fighting bad habits, and achieving national industrialization and modernization. Between 1950 and 1979, it was closely related to Premilitary Education and the generation of patriotism. Since 1980, the reconceptualiza-tion of the course based on individual development and not on socio-political interests left Physical Education and sport at the end of the queue compared to other State priorities. Efforts to develop Per...

Currently, the Peruvian State is carrying out an educational reform at all levels of university education. In the case of engineering education, this effort is not accompanied by new proposals for innovation and technology. Given the scarcity of competitive models, the future of this reform will leave aside the extraordinary opportunity to generate competitive engineering professionals. The CDIO Initiative proposes an education that emphasizes the fundamentals, established in the context of Conceiving, Designing, Implementing and Operating products, processes, and systems. It focuses on teaching engineering through the promotion of practical learning of the products and the creation of the system. Students face real engineering problems that require a combination of tangible theoretical and practical solutions. The idea is to expose students to difficult situations that require both mult...

Mountain glaciers are considered great reservoirs of water, and their importance lies in the fact that many of our ecosystems and numerous communities depend on them; Peru has one of the largest extensions of Andean snowcapped mountains, which have been affected by the decline in their glacier coverage and that is warned, will disappear due to environmental conditions and alterations in the current global temperature. This problem has increased due to ignorance, misinformation, indifference, and lack of solidarity on the part of the population who favors this discouraging situation. Taking advantage of the current technological immersion, in which we live, the development of a mobile application was proposed as a pedagogical resource to raise awareness among educational institutions about the glacial retreat of the Peruvian Andean snow-capped mountains, showing the current situation of s...
