Mountain glaciers are considered great reservoirs of water, and their importance lies in the fact that many of our ecosystems and numerous communities depend on them; Peru has one of the largest extensions of Andean snow-capped mountains, which have been affected by the decline in their glacier coverage and that is warned, will disappear due to environmental conditions and alterations in the current global temperature. This problem has increased due to ignorance, misinformation, indifference, and lack of solidarity on the part of the population who favors this discouraging situation. Taking advantage of the current technological immersion, in which we live, the development of a mobile application was proposed as a pedagogical resource to raise awareness among educational institutions about the glacial retreat of the Peruvian Andean snow-capped mountains, showing the current situation of ...

At present, many people suffer from respiratory or cardiovascular disease and must constantly attend health centers to perform their respective medical analysis, so there is a need to develop non-invasive devices to collect information on vital signs, in addition to providing precautionary alerts for self-regulation and emergency in extreme cases simultaneously both the patient and the doctor, for their respective contact; All this is monitored in real time from the database captured from the non-invasive prototype, solving to a greater extent these tasks in medical centers and reducing the response time of the same. In this way, each user could continue with his daily life, since he would be continuously monitored without having to go to the medical center.

Education in current times has taken leaps and bounds, so the use of traditional classrooms in conjunction with textbooks and static 2D images is no longer enough, even more so in the teaching of human anatomy, which requires images, didactic methods, and easy understanding. In that sense, Augmented Reality (AR) is a technological tool that takes on great importance in various areas and education is no exception. For this reason, this research describes the results of the development of an application with AR focused on helping in the study of human anatomy, being developed with ARCore technology and the Unity IDE, following the Mobile-D methodology. The results were analyzed in 3 indicators (amount of light required, time required for surface recognition, and ease of use of the application), of which in the first indicator a good performance was obtained requiring only 30 lux for recogn...

Customer retention, a critical business priority, has become a growing concern, especially in the telecommunications industry. This study addresses the need to anticipate and understand customer churn through the application of Deep Learning models. The central focus of the research was the development and evaluation of a short-term memory model (LSTM) specifically designed to predict customer leakage. The choice of LSTM as the mainstay of the research is based on its proven ability to model long-term dependencies in sequences, its resilience to recurrent challenges in neural networks, and its success in various sequence prediction tasks. The model implementation, configured sequentially with Keras, comprised of an initial LSTM layer of 64 units, followed by a 20% removal layer to mitigate overfitting. The second LSTM layer, with 32 units, was supplemented with another elimination layer....

“Pneumonia is a type of acute respiratory infection caused by microbes, and viruses that affect the lungs. Pneumonia is the leading cause of infant mortality in the world, accounting for 81% of deaths in children under five years of age. There are approximately 1.2 million cases of pneumonia in children under five years of age and 180 000 died in 2016. Early detection of pneumonia can help reduce mortality rates. Therefore, this paper presents four convolutional neural network (CNN) models to detect pneumonia from chest X-ray images. CNNs were trained to classify X-ray images into two types: normal and pneumonia, using several convolutional layers. The four models used in this work are pre-trained: VGG16, VGG19, ResNet50, and InceptionV3. The measures that were used for the evaluation of the results are Accuracy, recall, and F1-Score. The models were trained and validated with the data...

“Unit short-term memory (LSTM) is a type of recurrent neural network (RNN) whose sequence-based models are being used in text generation and/or prediction tasks, question answering, and classification systems due to their ability to learn long-term dependencies. The present research integrates the LSTM network and dropout technique to generate a text from a corpus as input, a model is developed to find the best way to extract the words from the context. For training the model, the poem ““La Ciudad y los perros““ which is composed of 128,600 words is used as input data. The poem was divided into two data sets, 38.88% for training and the remaining 61.12% for testing the model. The proposed model was tested in two variants: word importance and context. The results were evaluated in terms of the semantic proximity of the generated text to the given context.“
