It was a program of self-esteem for childrens of 8 to 11 year old with specific learning disorders. They were 30 participants (15 were in the experimental group and 15 were in the control group). It was used an experimental design pre test and post test with control group. In the comparative analysis it was found that there were significative differences in the area itself (t = - 4.06, p< .01) home (t = -2.26, p < .05) school (t = -3.45, p< .01) mats (t = -3.06, p <.01) and in total self esteem (t = -6.23, p < .001), in all cases the post test was greater than pre test, this results corroborate the efectiveness of the program.

The attitudes of the parents are evaluated towards the children with Mental Retardation, through a comparative descriptive study. The sample was conformed by the parents, of 54 children with I diagnose of Mental Retardation selected of the Educative Centers of Special Education of the Callao, for it was used like instrument a Scale type Likert de Actitudes of the mother towards the son with Mental Retardation, as much in its version for the son like for the daughter. Se evalúan las actitudes de los padres hacia los hijos con Retardo Mental a través de un estudio descriptivo comparativo. La muestra estuvo conformada por los padres y las madres de 54 niños con diagnostico de Retardo Mental seleccionados de los Centros Educativos de Educación Especial del Callao, para ello se utilizó como instrumento una Escala tipo Likert de Actitudes de la madre hacia el hijo con Retardo Mental, tanto en su versión para el hijo como para la hija. Determina el grado de relación que existe la autoestima y el locus en estudiantes del primer semestre de las diversas especialidades profesionales de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Identifica y describe el nivel de autoestima y los tipos de locus, al igual que su distribución en función al sexo y las especialidades. Utiliza una muestra de 403 casos seleccionados al azar y distribuidos de forma representativa en cada facultad de la universidad. Aplica la Escala de Locus de Control Interno y Externo de Rotter y la Escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg como instrumentos de recolección. This cross-sectional and correlational research analyzes the relationship between psychological well-being and academic self-efficacy in students over eighteen from a pre-university center in Lima. The 200 participants were selected by non-probabilistic sampling. The evaluation instruments have been the Psychological Well-Being Scale (BIEPS-A) and the Perceived Self-efficacy Scale in Academic Situations (EAPESA), whose reliability/accuracy and validation evidence based on the internal structure present adequate values. It is analized the relationship between need for cognition and Kolb's learning styles theory, considering Freshmen students at a public university (Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, UNMSM). Participants were 489 students, chosen randomly from 19 Academic Schools or "Facultades". The results showed that students have high levels of need for cognition and that male students have the highest score. It was found that the learning style Divergent is the most frequent, while the style assimilator was the least frequent. The styles Convergent and Divergent are the most common among male and female students, respectively. Also, it was found that the measures of learning styles and need for cognition showed significative relationship. Active experimentation showed no signification relationship with need for cognition.

Se analizan las relaciones entre la necesidad cognitiva y los estilos de aprendizaje planteados por Kolb, teniendo en cuenta estudiantes del primer semestre de las diversas especialidades de la U.N.M.S.M. Los participantes corresponden a una muestra aleatoria de 489 alumnos, pertenecientes de manera representativa a las 19 Facultades de las 5 áreas de especialización. The domestic violence is a very big social problem, because of its high frequency and seriousness of the facts, and also its negative effects against the real victims and the close friends and relatives. In the study, the variables of post-traumatic stress disorder and inadaptation were analyzed according to age in a sample of 256 female victims of domestic violence in the marital relationship, who were administered a sociodemographic data file, severity scale of posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms, the inadaptation scale and a scale of somatic symptoms of anxiety. La violencia doméstica es un grave problema social, por su alta frecuencia por la gravedad de los hechos y sus consecuencias negativas para las víctimas directas y personas cercanas. En el estudio se sometió al análisis las variables; estrés postraumático e inadaptación en función a la edad, en una muestra de 256 mujeres víctimas de violencia doméstica en la relación de pareja, a quienes se les administró una ficha de datos sociodemográficos, la escala de gravedad de síntomas de estrés postraumático, la escala de inadaptación y una escala de síntomas somáticos de ansiedad. Psychrometrical properties were evaluated of combining formal operations of Longeot (T.O.F.C.), according to Guttman and Moken model between 260 students of psycholoy faculty of the UNMSM. The result of Guttman’s analysis indicates that an index of reproductiveness is obtained of 0,53. The analysis of items according to Mokken´s model alows to notice that the H(i,j)Loevinger and Delta Star(i,j) coefficients correspond to studied model. The Loevinger’s H coefficientes rises to 0,81, wich one corroborates Longeot’s adjust ment of T.O.F.E. to Mokken’s model the valuation of rho reliability is 0,82. Se evaluaron las características psicométricas del test de operaciones formales combinatorias de Longeot (T.O.F.C.), según el modelo de Guttman y el modelo de Mokken en una muestra de 260 estudiantes de la facultad de Psicología de la UNMSM. El resultado del análisis del escalograma de Guttman indica que se obtiene un índice de reproductibilidad de 0.53. En tanto que el análisis de ítems en base al modelo de Mokken, permite observar que los coeficientes H(i,j) de Loevinger y los coeficientes Delta Star (i,j) corresponden al modelo estudiado. El coeficiente H de Loevinger de la escala total asciende a 0.81, lo cual corrobora la adecuación del T.O.F.C. de Longeot al Modelo de Mokken. The participants were 1066 students and the sample was a probabilistics one. We used a correlational design, as it was sought to determine the degree of relationship between two variables, in this case the index of relation between social habilities and the index of use of internet social networks in high school participants from a state and a non state institutions of the city of Lima. Results show a negative and significant interaction between the full score on the scale of social skills and the index of addiction to internet networks, as well as in the scores of most of the components of the results of the variables under study.

Under the theoretical framework of Salovey and Moyer a psychometric test has been created to measure Emotional Intelligence. Five domains have been considered for items elaboration: a) Emotional Self-knowledge; b) Emotional Control; c) Self motivation; d) Empathy and e) Interpersonal relations. A randomly sample of 489 first level students was selected from 19 different University Programs which belong to five Academic Areas. The psychometric item analysis permited to take not statistically significant items out. The Test reported internal consistency reliability through Alfa Cronbach Coeficient. It has been reported for each domain evaluated and for the general test. It has been also confirmed content and construct validity for the test.
