In this research infant depression is studied in relation with life quality (instead of family atmosphere), in students with low school achievement in a sample of 372 of both genders, using the de Depression Questionnaire for children by Lang e Ysher; and the Test of Life Quality from Olson and Barnes, finding higher levels of depression in the students with more affectivity, low self-esteem and difficulty ill social interaction.

The relation between the Resources of facing and the strategies of facing to stress in 546 educational ones of state educative centers of Lima Metropolitan of the three levels of education studies: Initial, Primary and Secondary. The used design is descriptive the comparative one and corelational and the applied instruments are: The Inventory of Resources of facing of Harnmer and Marting, and the Questionnaire of Ways of facing to the stress elaborated by Carver and adapted by Casuso in 1996. Se estudia la relación entre los Recursos de afrontamiento y las estrategias de afrontamiento al estrés en 546 docentes de centros educativos estatales de Lima Metropolitana de los tres niveles de enseñanza: Inicial, Primaria y Secundaria. DISEÑO: Es descriptivo, comparativo y correlacional, de carácter analítico en la cual se trató de determinar la prevalencia y distribución de desgaste profesional en los profesionales de la salud. Se ha explorado el problema del abuso sexual en 391 escolares de ambos sexos, provenientes de centros educativos estatales de nivel primario, de estrato socioeconómico bajo y cuyas edades fluctúan entre los 07 a 14 años. Inicialmente se construyo un cuestionario de 32 ítems y una ficha sociodemográfica para determinar las características de la muestra. Se encuentran diferencias significativas en función al sexo, los niños consideran edades de riesgo al abuso sexual entre 03 a 05 años, y las niñas las edades de 08 a 11 años. Existen mayores temores y preocupaciones en las niñas de ser víctimas y ante cualquier acoso sexual prefieren comunicárselo a la madre antes que al padre. En general los menores presentan una alta valoración y estima hacia su cuerpo.

It is analized the psychometric properties of Raven’s Advanced Progressive Matrices. The participants were 501 Freshmen students of 5 professional careers of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (U.N.M.S.M.), a public university located at Lima, Perú. The reliability analysis shows that the test is reliable. Also, the construct validity analysis meets the requirements of test making. The norms were elaborated considering the professional careers of the U.N.M.SM. students. It was made a psychometric study of Raven Coloured Progressive Matrices Test, which is a non verbal instrument that evaluates abilities related to make comparisons, thinking for analogy and spatial perceptions organization. It was designed mainly as a measure of factor "g" of Spearman or general intelligence, composed by two abilities, named educational and reproductive. The participants were 2496 students obtained at random considering all school districts (USE) of the city of Lima, Peru. They were primary level students, from 1º to 6º grade and 6 to 11 years old. Se realizó el estudio psicométrico del Test de Matrices Progresivas de Raven a colores, que es un instrumento no verbal que evalúa la habilidad para hacer comparaciones, razonar por analogía y organizar percepciones espaciales dentro de un todo relacionado sistemáticamente, se diseñó principalmente como una medida de factor "g" de Spearman o inteligencia general, que está constituida por dos componentes identificados como habilidad educativa y habilidad reproductiva. It is analized the relationship between need for cognition and Kolb's learning styles theory, considering Freshmen students at a public university (Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, UNMSM). Participants were 489 students, chosen randomly from 19 Academic Schools or "Facultades". The results showed that students have high levels of need for cognition and that male students have the highest score. It was found that the learning style Divergent is the most frequent, while the style assimilator was the least frequent. The styles Convergent and Divergent are the most common among male and female students, respectively. Also, it was found that the measures of learning styles and need for cognition showed significative relationship. Active experimentation showed no signification relationship with need for cognition.

Se analizan las relaciones entre la necesidad cognitiva y los estilos de aprendizaje planteados por Kolb, teniendo en cuenta estudiantes del primer semestre de las diversas especialidades de la U.N.M.S.M. Los participantes corresponden a una muestra aleatoria de 489 alumnos, pertenecientes de manera representativa a las 19 Facultades de las 5 áreas de especialización.
