Under the theoretical framework of Salovey and Moyer a psychometric test has been created to measure Emotional Intelligence. Five domains have been considered for items elaboration: a) Emotional Self-knowledge; b) Emotional Control; c) Self motivation; d) Empathy and e) Interpersonal relations. A randomly sample of 489 first level students was selected from 19 different University Programs which belong to five Academic Areas. The psychometric item analysis permited to take not statistically significant items out. The Test reported internal consistency reliability through Alfa Cronbach Coeficient. It has been reported for each domain evaluated and for the general test. It has been also confirmed content and construct validity for the test.

It is analized the psychometric properties of Raven’s Advanced Progressive Matrices. The participants were 501 Freshmen students of 5 professional careers of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (U.N.M.S.M.), a public university located at Lima, Perú. The reliability analysis shows that the test is reliable. Also, the construct validity analysis meets the requirements of test making. The norms were elaborated considering the professional careers of the U.N.M.SM. students. It was find statistical differences on general intelligence scores, showing higher scores students of career “B” than students of “A “, “C “, “D” and “E” careers; also, students from career “C” showed higher scores than students from “A” and “E” career paths; finally, students from professional career“D” have had higher scores than students of “A“ and “E” careers. It was made a psychometric study of Raven Coloured Progressive Matrices Test, which is a non verbal instrument that evaluates abilities related to make comparisons, thinking for analogy and spatial perceptions organization. It was designed mainly as a measure of factor "g" of Spearman or general intelligence, composed by two abilities, named educational and reproductive. The participants were 2496 students obtained at random considering all school districts (USE) of the city of Lima, Peru. They were primary level students, from 1º to 6º grade and 6 to 11 years old. The psychometric analysis shows that the item-test relation is up to norms (>0.20), so reliability was attained. Also the factor analysis of the items comes up whith one factor explainig the 76% of variance, so construct validity was obtained. Also the calification norms was obtained. The analysis of results points out th...
