Psychrometrical properties were evaluated of combining formal operations of Longeot (T.O.F.C.), according to Guttman and Moken model between 260 students of psycholoy faculty of the UNMSM. The result of Guttman’s analysis indicates that an index of reproductiveness is obtained of 0,53. The analysis of items according to Mokken´s model alows to notice that the H(i,j)Loevinger and Delta Star(i,j) coefficients correspond to studied model. The Loevinger’s H coefficientes rises to 0,81, wich one corroborates Longeot’s adjust ment of T.O.F.E. to Mokken’s model the valuation of rho reliability is 0,82. The graphic analysis of curves of items allows to notice that curves are parallel and they don't intersect, verifing the doble monotony that exist between items of T.O.F.C. The instrument smowed having a validity of construction, factorial explorative analysis on the basis of procedure o...

Under the theoretical framework of Salovey and Moyer a psychometric test has been created to measure Emotional Intelligence. Five domains have been considered for items elaboration: a) Emotional Self-knowledge; b) Emotional Control; c) Self motivation; d) Empathy and e) Interpersonal relations. A randomly sample of 489 first level students was selected from 19 different University Programs which belong to five Academic Areas. The psychometric item analysis permited to take not statistically significant items out. The Test reported internal consistency reliability through Alfa Cronbach Coeficient. It has been reported for each domain evaluated and for the general test. It has been also confirmed content and construct validity for the test.

OBJECTIVE: To determine the influence of learning strategies and the active reflection on the academic performance of senior high school students of the city of Lima. DESIGN: Multivariate correlational study carried on Lima and Callao high school students of the 2003 class. INSTRUMENTS AND METHODS: A two stages conglomerate sampling afixed to size was used, resulting 1200 adolescents as participants. The ACRA scale was used and an Active Reflection scale was elaborated. The statistics analysis was done in three stages: A psychometric analysis to evaluate validity and reliability of ACRA's and Active Reflection scales, a descriptive analysis of the studied variables, and a multivariate (structural equation modeling) and bivariate analysis to test the hiphotesis. RESUL TS: The adolescents mean age was 16.1 year (with.±. 0.86 error aproximation). The 52% were female and the 48% were male. ...

OBJECTIVE: To study the relationship between abilities selfconcept, academic goals and performance among college students of the city of Lima, Peru. DISEGN: Multivariate correlational study on college students from Lima and Callao. INSTRUMENTS AND METHODS: Stratifical sampling was used considering the quantity of students at college, academic school, and level of studies. The sample were 1018 college students. It was used the selfconcept scale of abilities and the academic goals scale. The statistical analysis was done in three stages: Psychometric in order to evaluate validity and reliability; descriptive and bivariate and multivariate approach (multiple regression analysis) hypothesis testing. RESULTS: The students mean age was 21.1 +/- 2.41 years old and 66.6% were female and 33.4% were male. Students from public and private colleges were 53% and 47% respectively. CONCLUSIONS: Finding...
