Five strains of Kluyveromyces marxianus a one of Gandida pseudotropicalis were cultured in medium M-1 for productión of 13- galactosidasa (E.C : 3:2:1:23). The strain Kluyveromyces mandanus NRRL- Y - 1109 was selecteed for the best production of enzyme and the maxímum yield of enzyme was obtaíned on 5% of lactose supplemented with 0.5% yeast extract , 0.75% (NH4)2 S04 y 0.45% K2HP04 (w/v). lt obtained a yield of 5.43 U/mg of protein and 1.31 A.UoNPcl mg of dry weight. The extraction of the enzyme from viable cells was performed by toluene 2% (v/v), during 15 hours of treatment at 30°C, in 0.1 M potassium phosphate buffer, pH 7.0 ± 0.1, supplemented with 1 mM magnesium and 0.1 mM manganese sulfate . El presente estudio parte de la problemática que presenta una empresa del sector lácteo en la distribución de venta comprendida en la zona norte del Perú, la cual mediante la implementación de la herramienta de ingeniería Matriz Impacto-Factibilidad, para poder elegir mediante ranking de factores la mejor opción de las desplegadas en la Lluvia de ideas, logró un incremental de 14% en nivel de ventas brutas, una reducción en descuentos por venta del 64%, considerando el mayor poder de negociación e implementación de estrategia comercial de la empresa en comparación del distribuidor, obteniendo por consecuencia un incremental de 16% en nivel de ventas netas. The process of producing dairy products generates a great deal of environmental contamination due to poor practices used during processing, which is why it is essential to know the degree of sustainability of this industry. The present study sought to evaluate the sustainability of the production of dairy products in the San Salvador de Quishcambal-Assaqui Agricultural Association in the town of San Salvador, Province of Luya in the Amazon Region. The ELANEM methodology was used and a survey validated by experts was used, with sustainability indicators and a double-entry matrix. A cross-sectional epidemiological investigation was carried out to determine the risk factors associated with the dissemination of brucellosis to humans in milk processing centres and slaughterhouses in seven cantons of the province of Manabí, Ecuador, between September and November 2015. A census was conducted to quantify farms processing milk, milk processing centres and slaughterhouses. A total of 119 dairy farms, seven slaughterhouses and seven milk processing centres were selected. They were characterized in terms of the types of products produced and on the presence of risk factors as causes of brucellosis in humans. Este trabajo aborda la mejora de la eficiencia en la recepción de leche en una pequeña empresa de productos lácteos mediante estrategias de ingeniería de calidad y estandarización de procesos. El problema principal identificado fue la entrada de leche defectuosa, afectando negativamente la eficiencia y calidad del producto final. Para solucionar este problema, se implementaron tres herramientas clave: mapeo de procesos, control estadístico de procesos (CEP) y estandarización de procedimientos. The aim of the present study was to estimate the prevalence of Fasciola hepatica and a Paramphistomide in dairy cattle from the districts of Huancabamba, Chontabamba and Oxapampa, province of Oxapampa, Pasco. A total of 408 fecal samples cattle were collected during May and November 2006 and processed by the Rapid Sedimentation test. Eggs were differentiated by the morphologic characteristics of each species. The district and age group (2-4, 5-6 y >6 years) were considered in the statistical analysis. The results showed prevalences of 10.0 ± 2.9% for F. hepatica and 28.4 ± 4.4% for a fluke of the Paramphistomidae family, without statistical difference due to district and age group, with the exception of Paramphistomide where animals older than 6 years of age had more possibilities of getting infected than younger animals (p<0.025).

Saanen, Alpine, Nubian and Toggenburg goats were classified according to age for random sampling. The microscopic agglutination test (MAT) with live antigen proposed by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and the World Health Organization (WHO) were used for detecting anti-Leptospira antibodies. Twelve serovars of Leptospira spp were used and animals with equal or higher titres of 1:100 were considered positive. The present work was developed with the objective of evaluating the sustainability indicators in two dairy farms (A and B) of the Mayabeque province, Cuba. An agroecological diagnosis was carried out with student participation through a system approach to identify and rank problems during the dry season. In dairy A, a sustainable animal production project was carried out, while in dairy B the traditional production system was maintained. The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV) and persistently infected (PI) animals in dairy herds located in Majes, Arequipa, Peru. In the first phase, 204 bulk tank milk samples from to 204 herds were collected al the local commercial processing plant in Majes for detection of antibodies against BVDV by indirect ELISA test. In the second phase, 286 blood samples were collected from 57 strong positive (Optical Density [OD] ? 0.900) herds for the detection of antibodies against BVDV and in PI animals by the indirect and capture ELISAs respectively.
