In the present study were evaluated the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory activity of chloroform extract from the leaves of Chuquiraga lessing "huamanpinta" and was performed the identification and structure elucidation of flavonoid secondary metabolites, antioxidant activity was evaluated by the method of difenilpycrilhidrazyl (DPPH) and was measured the activity of antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and malondialdehyde (MDA). Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni is an specie with sweetening properties, and a product used as alternative to sugar and artificial sweeteners. The objective of the research was to evaluate the hypoglycemic effect of a tablet made with the atomized extract of leaves of Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni. The hypoglycemic effect was determined using the glucose tolerance test, for which it was used 05 male rats, holtzman strain, average weight 210 ± 10g, divided in 5 groups with 6 specimens each, applying to each group a different treatment. The change in glucose levels versus time were evaluated, the area under the curve (AUC) of the different treatments was calculated. The tablet produced from the atomized stevia extract showed an AUC of 210,68 ± 57, similar to insulin with an AUC of 247,43 ± 24,2. La Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni es una especie con propiedades edulcorantes, y utilizada como un producto alternativo al azúcar y los endulzantes artificiales. El objetivo de la investigación fue evaluar la acción hipoglicemiante de una tableta elaborada con el extracto atomizado de hojas de Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni. El efecto hipoglicemiante se determinó utilizando el test de tolerancia oral a la glucosa, para el cual se ratas macho, cepa holtzman, con peso promedio de 210 ± 10g, divididas en 5 grupos de a 6 individuos cada uno, aplicándose a cada grupo un tratamiento diferente. The presence of ochratoxin A (OTA), a mycotoxin with carcinogenic properties, was analyzed in the beans of Theobroma cacao L. "trinitario cacao" from the collection center of Pisana-Tingo Maria, of the San Martin Region, Peru. The samples were collected in four stages of production: harvesting, fermentation, drying and storage. The OTA was extracted using 60 % acetonitrile and purified by immunoaffinity columns and subsequent quantification by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The recovery percentage of the method used was evaluated by using samples fortified with OTA, showing a recovery percentage greater than 95 %. The beans evaluated in the different stages of production did not show the presence of ochratoxin A and in the mycotoxigenic analysis the presence of fungi of the genus Fusarium, Penicillium and yeasts was evidenced.

This study aimed to characterize the chemical components of essential oil of Citrus sinensis L., determine its antibacterial activity and make dosageforms, mainly for local use. The essential oil was obtained from the dried leaves of the selected species, using a hydrodistillation system with water steam sweep; tests were conducted miscibility and determination of physical constants, such as specific gravity, refractive index and optical rotation. The aim of the study was to evaluate the antioxidant and antiphotoaging effects of extracts of brown alga Macrocystis integrifolia Bory and develop a dermocosmetic form. From this extracts, was designed the dermocosmetic form in concentrations of 1, 3 and 5%, on a base made of lard with incorporation of beeswax and sesame oil to a pH of 6,5. The antioxidant activity was determined by in vitro methods as CDP and ABTS. El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar el efecto antioxidante y antifotoenvejecimiento de extractos de la alga parda Macrocystis integrifolia Bory y elaborar una forma dermocosmética. Obtenidos los extractos, se diseñó una forma dermocosmética en concentraciones de 1, 3 y 5%, elaboradas sobre una base de manteca de cerdo con incorporación de cera de abejas y aceite de sésamo a un pH de 6,5. Was determinated chemical composition of essential oil from Caesalpinia spinosa, obtained by stripping with steam method, with a yield of 0,125% v/w, as well as its antioxidant capacity and antibacterial effect against Streptococcus mutans ATCC 35668. To identify chemical constituents were employed Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), finding 23 compounds, being in greater quantity: pelargonaldehído (11,21%); dihydro-neoclovene-(i) (5,51%); naphthalene,1,2,3,5,6,8a-hexahydro-4,7-dimethyl-1-(1-methylethyl)-,(15-CIS)- (4,87%) y dihydro-cis-alfa-copaene-8-ol (4,13%). Se determinó la composición química del aceite esencial de Caesalpinia spinosa, obtenido por el método de destilación por arrastre con vapor de agua con un rendimiento de 0,125% v/p, así como su capacidad antioxidante y actividad antibacteriana frente a Streptococcus mutans ATCC 35668.
