The relationship between Media Literacy (ML) and Digital Citizenship (DC) is fundamental, as critical media understanding directly promotes ethical participation in digital environments. This study examines this interaction among students at a public university in Peru, using a quantitative, cross-sectional design with an analytical, correlational, and explanatory approach, based on a sample of 906 participants. The results revealed a positive and significant correlation between ML and DC (β=0.477, p<0.001), of moderate intensity, indicating the influence of factors such as the digital divide. No significant differences were found by gender, but a slight disadvantage in DC for women was observed, highlighting the need for inclusive strategies. Additionally, it was identified that dimensions of ML, such as critical media evaluation, have a significant impact on DC, emphasizing the imp...

The research analyzed and reflected on the future of university teaching in a globalized-digital world. The study problem shows that a small percentage of teachers have managed to adapt to technological means, mainly in third world countries. In this sense, the objective of this study is to outline ideas to strengthen the profile of the university teacher through the responsible domain of technology. For this, we propose as a thesis, constant teacher training in digital didactics and pedagogy, which inserts us into a new university scientific era. In conclusion, university pedagogy is forced to changes that favor humanity, so thinking today of university teaching without digital technology seems wrong.

Introduction/Objective: Any change and strategic advertising and/or commercial plan- ning carried out by means of digital media is called digital marketing, which helps uni- versities to position themselves, which is why Peruvian universities create and share relevant content on digital platforms. The objective of this study is to determine how digital marketing affects the positioning of Peruvian universities. Methodology: A quantitative approach and a deductive, non-experimental research de- sign were used. A survey instrument was applied to 433 students studying at the Uni- versidad Continental (located in Arequipa, Cusco, Huancayo, and Lima), and the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) model was used, a multivariate statistical method for analysing the independent variable of digital marketing and the dependent variable of positioning. Results: The study fou...

Organizations in general are perceived according to the abundant information that is easily and immediately found on the networks. Educational institutions such as universities are also known and compared according to the origin of this information, thus generating a reputation that helps to establish value judgments in a more effective way. The university institutional reputation refers to the set of perceptions held by the various interest groups that relate to an institution, both internal and external  groups; These perceptions are the result of the behavior developed by the entity over time and of its ability to distribute value to the aforementioned groups. The objectives of this research are to find out how to find the basic elements that determine reputation, to establish whether digital reputation has more weight than offline reputation and to contrast the way in which the ...

Objective: Analyze the state of the art of digital competencies of university teachers Method: a bibliographic review of scientific articles on digital skills in university teachers, published during the years 2018 and 2022, was carried out, taking into account the methodological protocols suggested for the bibliographic review. The search strategy incorporated the use of databases: LILACS, ERIC, Scopus, PubMed, Web of Scencie. and Boolean operators for combining the descriptors. 179 articles were identified and reviewed, of which 20 articles were useful. The results: digital skills vary depending on the age group and academic grade, and indicate that the training improves their skills and use of these tools during teaching-learning. Conclusion: most studies report that teachers have a basic to medium level of digital competencies, these are complex processes that teachers must take on t...

Translators face numerous challenges for doing their work, not only linguistic but also multimedia-related challenges. For this reason, translation undergraduate students must develop their documentary competence with a digital portfolio. The aim of this research is to demonstrate the effect of using a digital portfolio for developing documentary competence in the translation students from a private university in Lima. This research is quantitative and has a quasi-experimental design. It has been applied to a course of direct translation for two semesters. The sample was 32 students, 16 of them for control group and 16 for experimental group. A test was given before and after using the digital portfolio, so that documentary competence can be measured in its three dimensions: thematic field, terminology and textual genres. Findings suggest that the digital portfolio is effective for devel...

Within the educational realm, teaching methodologies that incorporate the use of digital technologies require specific skills and understandings from educators, leading to a reevaluation and creation of pedagogical approaches different from those initially acquired. In this scenario, research was conducted with the purpose of proposing a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) to cultivate digital skills among faculty members. A design involving pre-testing was used with a sample of 34 university teachers, selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The survey based on the DigcompEdu Framework was employed as the data collection instrument. The results of the instrument indicate that participants in the diagnostic evaluation achieved an average score of 14.77, with a value of 13 being the most frequently recurring. Additionally, over 80% of the participants' results suggest that t...

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and digital competence of university students at a public university in the city of Lima. For its realization, a non-experimental design of correlational level was chosen. The sample consisted of 110 students selected by convenience sampling. Two instruments were applied to evaluate the study variables, whose validity was determined by expert judgment. A pilot test was carried out to be able to resolve the internal consistency of the instruments of each of the variables using Cronbach's alpha, the results determined reliability coefficients of 0.915 and 0.961 for self-efficacy and digital competence respectively, which indicates that the information collected by the resulting instruments be reliable enough for the progress of the investigation. The results show the existence of a significant direct weak r...

This report shows a sequence of two tasks using tables of values and graphs to mobilize the notion of indeterminate limits in a mathematics course with first cycle students of a university in Lima-Peru. As theoretical framework we consider the Theory of Semiotic Representation Records and the methodology is qualitative. The Casio fx-991 ClassWiz calculator is used as a medium. In the students' productions, we analyze how they coordinate semiotic representation registers. In addition, the results reveal thatthey coordinate natural language, algebraic, tabular and graphic registers. They also show the relevanceof the digital technology used.

A adaptação digital, acele...
