The aim of the study was to identify gastrointestinal parasites in reptiles kept in captivity in Metropolitan Lima. Reptiles in the Huascar Park (Villa El Salvador) and Sinchi Roca Park (Comas), in the zoo of El Buen Pastor School and in the serpentarium of the Instituto Nacional de Salud were sampled. Stoll samples (n=133) were collected from Chelonoidis denticulata (89), Boa constrictor (11), Iguana iguana (6), Trachemys scripta (3), Bothrops atrox (5), Bothrops barnetti (3), Epicrates cenchria (3), Crotalus durissus terrificus (2) and other nine species. The samples were processed by parasitological diagnostic methods: direct, flotation with zinc sulfate, Ritchie and Ziehl Neelsen staining. The relationship between total cholesterol (Colt) and dopamine (DA) was investigated for the possibility of having an accessible exam in consultation such as the measurement of total cholesterol (Colt) to project the behavior of serum DA. The Colt was determined in 50 dogs and based on the results three study groups were formed, Group I: 6 patients with Colt between 77 and 200 mg/dl; Group II: 6 patients between 250 and 300 mg/dl; Group III: 6 patients between 400 and 470 mg/dl. Serum DA was measured in the 18 patients through HPLC coupled to an electrochemical detector. The study was conducted in 16 cyclic mares of the Peruvian Paso breed from the province of Ascope, La Libertad, Peru, between January and March 2017, to evaluate the effect of deslorelin acetate administration on ovulation time and pregnancy rate. There was a control group (n=8) without treatment and an experimental group (n=8) treated with 1.75 mg of deslorelin acetate when observing a dominant follicle of 38-40 mm and a grade 2 to 3 of edema endometrial determined by ultrasound. The mares were inseminated at 16-24 h afterwards. The ultrasound monitoring was continued until ovulation and pregnancy diagnosis was done 13-15 days after ovulation. The ovulation time was 43.13 ± 4.48 and 69.00 ± 8.41 h for the experimental and control group, respectively. Se investigó la relación entre el colesterol total (Colt) y la dopamina (DA) a fin de disponer de un examen accesible en consulta como es la medición del colesterol total (Colt) de manera de proyectar el comportamiento de la DA sérica. Se determinó el Colt a 50 caninos y con base a los resultados se formaron tres grupos estudio, Grupo I: 6 pacientes con Colt entre 77 y 200 mg/dl; Grupo II: 6 pacientes entre 250 y 300 mg/dl; Grupo III: 6 pacientes entre 400 y 470 mg/dl. A los 18 pacientes se les midió la DA sérica a través de HPLC acoplado a un detector electroquímico. El presente estudio tuvo como finalidad determinar la distribución del ruido ambiental en el campus de la Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM) para el periodo enero – marzo del 2007, para lo cual se efectuó un cuadriculado del campus y sus límites, con un total de 69 estaciones, cuyas mediciones se realizaron en los horarios diurno y nocturno en días laborables, y posteriormente se elaboraron los mapas de distribución de ruido ambiental diurno, nocturno y el indicador Lden (diurno-tarde-nocturno) con el software Arc Gis 9.2. The objective of the present study was to predict carcass weight (PC) in guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus) at the age of slaughtering (16±2 weeks), considering their biometric measurements. The following measures and weights were taken before and after the slaughter of 150 male guinea pigs of the Cieneguilla genotype: live body weight (PV), body length (LC), head length (LCA), head width (AC), loin length (LL), loin width (AL), chest girth (PT), thigh perimeter (PM), thigh length (LM), arm perimeter (PB), arm length (LB), and rump middle square (CMG), as well as the carcass weight (PC). The aim of this study was to determine the effect of age at first calving (AFC) on the standardized production of milk (SMP) of the first and second lactation and interval between the first two calvings (CI) in Holstein cows of the Lima region, Peru. Records of 4215 cows from nine farms, registered in the Dairy Productivity Service of the National Agrarian University La Molina, between January 2003 and December 2012 were analysed. The information was analysed through descriptive statistics and by a mixed linear model, using SAS 9.4. The average AFC was 24.9 ± 2.3 months. The AEPP influenced on the SMP (p=0.0008), but not in the IEP (p=0.3969). Likewise, significant differences were found (p<0.01) between the two lactations, between the four seasons of the year and between the 10 years evaluated for the two variables under study. Objective: To describe oncologic and obstetric outcomes in patients diagnosed with cervical cancer during pregnancy who had a successful delivery after neoadjuvant chemotherapy.Methods: A multicenter retrospective review was conducted in 12 institutions from six Latin American countries, between January 2007 and December 2018. Data collected included clinical characteristics, neoadjuvant chemotherapy agents, treatment, obstetric and oncologic outcomes. Results: Thirty-three patients were included. Median age was 34 years (range 31-36). Twenty (60.6%) women were diagnosed at early stage (IB), and 13 (39.4%) with locally advanced stage (IIA-IIIB) according to FIGO 2009 classification. Carboplatin and paclitaxel was the most frequent combination used (60.6%). Partial and complete response rates were 27.3% and 9.1%, respectively.
