The spatial distribution of seismicity and tectonics in the central region of Peru is analyzed using information contained in the Seismic Catalog of the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP), period 2015-2022 (M ≥4.5), to propose a 3D geometry for the Nazca plate within the subduction process. The results show that, in the central region, the Nazca plate subducts with an approximate angle of 28°- 30° up to a depth of 120 km to then continue in a subhorizontal manner up to the distance of 700 km. Near the city of Pucallpa, the Nazca plate develops a resubduction process with an approximate angle of 28° to a depth of 200 km. The seismic activity of Peru has its origin in the convergent margin, where the Nazca plate subducts under the South American plate, a process that generates friction and accumulation of stress, reflected in deformation of the crust and superficial earthquakes (<30km of depth). Cusco was affected by earthquakes in 1950, 1650 and recently in 1986, the first two, major earthquakes of magnitudes greater than 7 MM (Silgado,1978). The eastern area of Metropolitan Lima is characterized by a permanent urban expansion, particularly in the area of Chosica, Lima. In these areas with a semi-arid climate, numerous disasters have occurred due to the exposure of the population to mass movements. A relevant case of this reality is the Quirio torrent (Annex 1. Location), where natural phenomena are reflected in intense water erosion and landslides on hillsides, as well as alluvium in the drainage channel. El estudio del clima es imprescindible para explicar la geodinámica externa en la vertiente del Pacífico de los Andes Centrales, entre 15°S y 19°S), debido a que los procesos mediante los cuales se desarrolla el modelado del relieve o morfogénesis están controlados por las variables termo-pluviométricas y la fito-estabilización. El área de estudio se ubica en el valle del río Cañete, Yauyos, Lima. La caracterización litogeoquímica de la Super Unidad Catahuasi y la Unidad Tupe se realizó mediante el uso de elementos mayores y elementos traza. Los elementos mayores permiten clasificar las rocas asignando litologías, series magmáticas y origen tectónico. Los elementos trazan son útiles para identificar procesos petrogenéticos que los elementos mayores no pueden, a pesar de la presencia de alteración en las rocas. La caracterización petrográfica se realizó en base a los diagramas QAPF. Las muestras identificadas con valores elevados de Cu son la muestra GR50A-19-020 (Cu: 2935 ppm) perteneciente a la Super Unidad Catahuasi y la muestra GR50A-19-037 (Cu: 999 ppm) perteneciente a la Formación Tantará. El yacimiento de la mina Pierina que se explota hace más de 10 años, fue descubierto por la presencia de un megabloque ubicado en un paraje denominado Piruro. Es un yacimiento epitermal de alta sulfuración de oro-plata, alojado en rocas volcánicas del grupo Calipuy, depositadas en dos etapas, la primera entre 46 a 23 Ma y la segunda entre 16 a 13 Ma, con intervalo de inactividad volcánica para esta zona de aproximadamente 8 Ma. Para los fines del presente estudio, se tomaron en cuenta los eventos tectónicos de la Fase Quechua (Mioceno) y Fase del Cuaternario antiguo ocurridos en la región Perú. Genetic structure of the populations of H. inornata was evaluated and the barriers for genetic flux and historic processes were investigated. Samples were collected trying to cover the distribution range of the species, from Mexico to northern Perú. Based on COI sequences, 118 haplotypes from 220 specimens were detected; the differences between such haplotypes were due to 97 variable sites (21.41%) of the 453 bp sequenced. A high haplotype diversity (h=0.979) and a moderate nucleotidic diversity were observed. The values of Fst, the exact test of population differentiation, and the molecular variance analysis (AMOVA) were used in order to analyze the genetic differentiation.
