This article describes the design and development of a compact low energy consumption temperature data acquisition system using the I2C protocol with cables up to eight meters long. This system has been used in the implementation of a Peruvian government project aimed at validating the use of Trombe walls in small towns located at high altitude (4000 - 5000 m.a.s.l.). This article explains the construction of the module, the data acquisition subsystem, and presents an overview of the implementation of the developed system.

The work aimed to evaluate the effect of two doses of eCG on the superovulatory response, embryonic recovery rate and reproductive disorders. Thirty-two clinically healthy adult llamas were used, divided into two groups: Group I (700 IU eCG; n = 15) and Group II (500 IU eCG; n = 21). Con el propósito de reducir las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero, se ha decidido evaluar la huella de carbono de las empresas. Esto implica la necesidad de hacer un inventario y control de las emisiones durante el proceso productivo. El objetivo de la investigación es medir la huella de carbono y proponer soluciones para disminuir los gases de efecto invernadero emitidos por cada fuente de emisión, en una empresa que proporciona servicios de construcción y explotación de canteras. Se siguió el protocolo de la ISO 14064-1:2018, que establece los requisitos para el diseño, desarrollo y cálculo de inventarios de gases de efecto invernadero. The effect of two surgical field antisepsis protocols on the reduction of the number of skin bacteria in bovines subjected to field reproductive surgeries was determined. Samples were taken before (M1), and after antisepsis (M2) and at the end of the surgical procedure (M3) in 12 crossbred bovines aged 12 to 24 months. Trichotomy of the operating field was performed prior to the two antisepsis protocols: 7.5% povidone-iodine and 2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate (both with 3-min contact time and 2-min contact clearance with isopropyl alcohol) and later embrocation with 1% povidone-iodine solution and 0.5% chlorhexidine solution, respectively. The follicular dynamics was evaluated by ultrasonography in Brown Swiss cattle subjected to a protocol of synchronization of estrus with progestogens in the Peruvian highlands. Three groups of Brown Swiss cattle of nine females each were evaluated. The groups were: lactating cows (<120 and >260 days in milk) and heifers. For synchronization, on day 0 a progesterone-based intravaginal device was applied, and 2 mg estradiol benzoate was injected, on day 8 the device was removed and 0.15 mg cloprostenol and 400 IU eCG were applied, and on day 10 1.05 mg GnRH was applied. Artificial insemination at fixed time was done 12 h after the application of GnRH. The effect of six cryoprotective solutions based on MgCl2 and methanol, in addtion with sucrose and 10% Aloe vera gel or 10% egg yolk, on the sperm viability in spermatophore and sperm mass of Litopenaeus vannamei was evaluated. Besides, cooling rates of -0.5, -1 and -2 °C/min were used until temperature reached -35, -80 and -100 °C prior to immersion in liquid nitrogen. The sperm viability rate was determined by eosin-nigrosin staining. The results showed that the solutions based on MgCl2, sucrose plus egg yolk or Aloe vera gel better preserved sperm viability in spermatophore (82.8 ± 2.3% and 72.6 ± 3.1%) and in sperm mass (83.4 ± 2.5% and 76 ± 1.1%) without significant differences with the control group (p>0.05). La criopreservación de semen produce un alto grado de alteraciones en los espermatozoides que generan una consecuente pérdida de fertilidad y una menor tasa de preñez si se le compara con el semen fresco. Debido a esto, el presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto del método de congelación y el periodo de incubación sobre la calidad del semen equino luego de la descongelación. Para ello, se colectó semen de tres equinos mediante vagina artificial. El semen fue sometido a dos métodos de congelación: vapores de nitrógeno y congelador programable. El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar la respuesta inmune de macroquistes pequeños y grandes de Sarcocystis aucheniae utilizando tres protocolos de inoculación. Para la obtención del antígeno se recolectaron cuellos de alpaca con quistes de S. aucheniae del camal de Huancavelica, Perú. Los quistes colectados fueron clasificados según el tamaño, en macroquistes grandes (>5 mm) y pequeños (1-3 mm), obteniéndose una concentración de proteína antigénica de 3.23 y 2.45 mg/ml, respectivamente. The aim of this study was to evaluate the immune response of small and large macrocysts of Sarcocystis auchenie using three protocols of inoculation. Alpaca meat samples with S. aucheniae were obtained from the slaughterhouse of Huancavelica, Peru. Cysts were collected and classified by size in large (>5 mm) and small (1-3 mm), obtaining 3.23 and 2.45 mg/ml respectively of antigenic protein by the Biuret method.
