This study addressed the need to improve the ergonomic conditions of school furniture in early childhood education, considering its impact on children’s posture, safety, and concentration. The objective was to design, manufacture, and validate an ergonomic educational module (desk and chair) for students aged 3 to 5, using digital manufacturing tools. An experimental approach was applied across five phases: collection of anthropometric data, CAD modeling, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), technical assembly, and structural, ergonomic, and pedagogical validation. The design adhered to international standards (ISO 5970, UNE-EN 1729-2, ISO 7174-1) and guidelines from the Peruvian Ministry of Education (MINEDU). At the end of first quarter of 2020 it was seen in most countries statistics the beginning of an imminent second wave of pandemic. On January of 2021 it was seen in the data a rapid growth of new infections. In this paper, a geometry-based scheme is presented. In concrete the rectangle and trapezoid shapes are analyzed. From this, a relation between both geometries is extracted in terms of polynomial functions. The resulting characterization of a pandemic in terms of geometric variables is presented. Thus the present model is confronted with official data of USA and India. From the results of this paper, it is strongly believed that entropy might be behind of a global pandemic dynamics.

The present study proposes a method of automatic detection of tuberculosis (TB) bacilli from digital images of Ziehl Neelsen sputum smear baciloscopy. The method is based on an algorithm that aims to automate the interpretation of optical microscopic images of sputum smears. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a specialist can not analyze and process more than 20 samples per day (in order to not affect the analysis sensitivity and commit errors in diagnosis). In the current literature, there is limited evidence of the effects of teaching programming languages using two different paradigms concurrently. In this paper, we present our experience in using a multiparadigm and multiprogramming approach for an Introduction to Programming course. The multiparadigm element consisted of teaching the imperative and functional paradigms, while the multiprogramming element involved the Scheme and Python programming languages. For the multiparadigm part, the lectures were oriented to compare the similarities and differences between the functional and imperative approaches. The purpose of this research is to identify an artificial intelligence tool based on neural networks to predict the behavior of performance and risk of the set of financial assets based on actions that more accurately reflect the stock market movement of the Peruvian stock market. The research initially identified the most appropriate financial asset to estimate the performance and risk values of the 50% most liquid share portfolio in the Peruvian market in the 2010-2016 period. The dentigerous cyst, included in the classification of odontogenic cysts by the WHO in 2017, constitutes a relevant pathology in the bucco-maxillofacial area. Although its growth is slow and asymptomatic, when it reaches large dimensions, it has the capacity to cause bone destruction in jaws, which causes aesthetic and functional alterations. In addition, it has a high prevalence, with the odontogenic cyst as the most common, after the inflammatory radicular cyst. According to our own survey, carried out in Metropolitan Lima, more than 78% of regular basic education teachers who work in urban schools feel that they are not prepared to carry out virtual classes. This is because more than 72% of teachers have not received training in ICT. The influence of family and school on the level of independence of pre-school children is a fundamental aspect of integral development in early ages. This study has a quantitative descriptive approach. The aim of this study was to know the degree of Functional Independence in pre-school children in Cuenca (Ecuador). The participants were 30 children (3-5 years old), 15 from a public institution and 15 from a private one. The Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory Computer Adaptive Test (PEDICAT) was used as an evaluation tool, which measures the level of independence in 4 areas. Edge detection is a digital image processing tool. It determines points in a digital image where light intensity suddenly changes. This process applies to a digital image which assumes some degree of uncertainty in the location and intensity of the pixel in the real image. In this work, we propose an edge detection model which consists in capturing this uncertainty in terms of interval images. Then we apply interval-valued fuzzy morphology to calculate the interval-valued erosion and dilation. Finally, we compute the convex combinations of the upper and lower bounds of the interval-valued erosion and dilation image, to obtain a morphological erosion and dilation respectively, and thus an edge image.
