La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo principal determinar la relación directa significativa entre la comprensión lectora y rendimiento académico en los estudiantes del 2do Grado de Educación Secundaria de la I.E N°7086 “Los Precursores” del distrito de Santiago de Surco. La metodología que se empleó para el presente estudio fue descriptivo correlacional se trabajó con una muestra de 109 estudiantes. Se les aplicó un test de comprensión de lectura, diseñado para medir las habilidades cognitivas, cada ítem y las respuestas se procesaron utilizando el paquete estadístico SPSS.
