The goal of the present work is to study some properties and applications of the Gamma Function, denoted by Γ. Initially, we use the Lebesgue Integral Theory in order to prove that the improper integral given by Γ is convergent. We describe the extended domain property of Γ, and we also deduce some elementary properties. We present two different ways of proving that B(x, y) = Γ(x)Γ(y)/Γ(x+y) , where B is the Beta Function. Finally, we include some applications of the Gamma Function, between them some serve up as tools on Reliability Engineering.

The aim of this study was to characterize the semen of the Peruvian Hairless Dog. Fifteen males, aged 1 to 5 years, registered by the Kennel Club Peruano were used to collect semen (one ejaculated per male) by digital manipulation. A basic spermatogram was performed and macroscopic (volume and colour) and microscopic (sperm motility and concentration, using light field microscopy) characteristics were recorded. Additionally, sperm function tests were performed: sperm viability (using SYBR-14 and propidium iodide), mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP, using MitoTraker Deep Red FM), and acrosomal integrity (using FITC-PSA and propidium iodide) and analysed by flow cytometry with image analysis. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is considered a neurodevelopmental disorder, whose prevalence has increased in recent years, showing in some cases deficits in the cognitive area, with processing speed (PS) being one of the affected variables. Therefore, the present study aims to: 1) compare the scores obtained in relation to the PS variable between students aged 6 to 11 with ASD and their peers with neurotypical development in Metropolitan Lima; and 2) establish the PS profile of the included students with ASD. El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó con el objeto de valorar la capacidad funcional de las personas de la tercera edad del Centro Integral de Atención al Adulto Mayor de la Municipalidad Provincial de Maynas. El trabajo es una investigación cuantitativa con diseño no experimental, transversal de tipo descriptivo correlacional. Se aplicó el Índice de Barthel, para identificar el grado de independencia en sus actividades básicas de la vida diaria y la escala de Lawton y Brody para identificar el grado de independencia en sus actividades instrumentales. El tema seleccionado surge a partir de los resultados arrojados por la última prueba PISA de la Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD, 2023), donde se observa el bajo rendimiento educativo en el Perú. Según Helga Solís, vocera de Seguro Social de Salud (EsSalud, 2024), el 64% de los alumnos de primaria y secundaria presentan dificultades de aprendizaje, lo que genera reprobaciones, repitencias y abandono escolar. Esta situación no solo responde a deficiencias pedagógicas e intelectuales, sino también a la falta de motivación estudiantil. En este trabajo se propone una descripción de los factores pragmáticos y formales que se correlacionan con las secuencias que se desvían del orden básico de los constituyentes en quechua. Se asume como orden básico de esta lengua a la estructura SOV y se vincula a la secuencia OVS con la focalización del sujeto y el estilo directo; a OSV, con la topicalización del objeto; a VSO y VOS, con un foco oracional de contraexpectación y con argumentos focalizados o pesados; y finalmente, a SVO, con la focalización del objeto y el establecimiento de conclusiones. It is tried to determine if significant differences exist in the lexical wealth in function of the school grade and of the type of educational, state center or matter. With a sample of 2956 students to those that it was evaluated with the Test of Wealth and of Lexical Precision built by André King (1962). The data were analyzed by means of the factorial analysis of variance for the individual effect and cocktail and the Analysis of Variance of a Factor for design multigroup. You concludes that both hypotheses are confirmed. That is to say that so much the origin school like the grade of studies cause significant differences.

Objective: To determine the association between depression and functional dependence in elderly patients of the Centro Geriátrico Naval (Peruvian naval medical center for elderly people). Materials and methods: A retrospective, cross-sectional, analytic study conducted from a secondary data analysis, with a convenience sample size of 625 elderly people. Results: In the linear regression analysis which predicts functional dependence according to the Barthel Index, it was found that, for each point in the Yesavage questionnaire, the Barthel Index score decreases 4.8±1.82 points and, for every 5 points, it decreases 29.99±3.62 points.
