In order to evaluate the forms of interaction in the main Instagramers from Peru and Colombia, an exploratory analysis of their profiles was carried out on the Instagram audiovisual platform during 2019. For this reason, firstly, the Heepsy tool was used to establish the influencers with greater impact within the platform in both countries and then, through the monitoring tools Fan Page Karma and Social Blade, to determine a set of variables and parameters regarding their interaction. The results show that the audience index is higher for Instagramers from Colombia than for the ones from Peru. In addition, there is a clear trend among digital audiences to value content through likes as a sign of interaction with it, but on the other hand, there is a representative decrease in expressing their impressions with words and comments regarding what they observe; this is also established by the...

“Investing in children's well-being and supporting high-quality pre-school education is a significant component of its promotion (ECE). All children have the right to participate. ECE teachers' thoughts about children's participation were examined to see if they were linked to children's perceptions of their participation. On the other hand, current studies focus on a single categorization method with lower overall accuracy. The findings of this study provided the basis for the development of an ensemble machine learning (ML) approach for measuring the participation of children with learning disabilities in educational situations that were specifically developed for them. Visual and auditory data are collected and analyzed to determine whether or not the youngster is engaged during the robot-child interaction in this manner. It is proposed that an ensemble ML technique (Enhanced Deep N...

This work studies the interaction between natural dyes obtained from Peruvian Zea mays and Bixa orellana seeds and nanostructured titanium dioxide, in order to evaluate their function as sensitizers into solar cell devices. The effective attachment of dyes to the TiO2 layer is corroborated by the comparison of UV-Visible absorption and FT-IR spectra of the extracted dye solutions and sensitized TiO2 electrodes. The principal compounds from the seed extraction of Zea mays and Bixa orellana are cyanidin-3-glucoside (C3G) and bixin respectively, which were analyzed in an isolated dye/cluster TiO2 system by molecular dynamic simulation. The results showed that chemisorption is carried out through a consecutive deprotonation process, and Ti-O bond formation by the monodentate OH and COOH anchoring groups, for C3G and bixin respectively. Finally, we tested the effect of the dye - TiO2 interact...

Environmental pollution caused by human activities is a global concern, and recycling is an effective strategy to reduce waste and minimize its negative impact on the environment, as these pollutants can have detrimental impact on ecosystems, human health, and the quality of life in general. Recycling avoids the accumulation of waste in landfills, which can contami-nate soil, water, and air as well as reducing the production of new products. The objective of this work is to implement a mobile application to improve waste management by recycling companies. The Mobile-D methodology was used for the development of the project because it focuses on optimizing the efficiency and performance of mobile applications since it allows working in 5 phases which are: Exploration, Initialization, Production, Stabilization and Testing. In the first indicator (KPI-1), an improvement in customer retentio...

Student academic performance at universities is crucial for education management systems. Many actions and decisions are made based on it, specifically the enrollment process. During enrollment, students have to decide which courses to sign up for. This research presents the rationale behind the design of a recommender system to support the enrollment process using the students’ academic performance record. To build this system, the CRISP-DM methodology was applied to data from students of the Computer Science Department at University of Lima, Perú. One of the main contributions of this work is the use of two synthetic attributes to improve the relevance of the recommendations made. The first attribute estimates the inherent difficulty of a given course. The second attribute, named potential, is a measure of the competence of a student for a given course based on the grades obtained i...

A study of charged-current muon neutrino scattering on hydrocarbon (CH) in which the final state includes a muon, at least one proton, and no pions is presented. Although this signature has the topology of neutrino quasielastic scattering from neutrons, the event sample contains contributions from quasielastic and inelastic processes where pions are absorbed in the nucleus. The analysis accepts events with muon production angles up to 70◦ and proton kinetic energies greater than 110 MeV. The cross section, when based completely on hadronic kinematics, is well-described by a relativistic Fermi gas nuclear model including the neutrino event generator modeling for inelastic processes and particle transportation through the nucleus. This is in contrast to the quasielastic cross section based on muon kinematics, which is best described by an extended model that incorporates multi-nucleon co...

This research evaluates the communication that the 60 accredited universities in Ecuador develop on their websites. The objective is to determine the importance they attach to interactive communication and to analyze whether there is association with institutional factors, with the position in world rankings and with the website traffic. Content analysis was used and a Web Communication Index –WCI– was created to identify the presence of communication management and the adoption of interactive channels in the portals; the Similar Web tool was also used. Among the main results, it was found that the universities sites have low levels of traffic in their category, that the presence of communication management is minimal, and that there are statistically significant differences according to the type of financing and the year of foundation. Assessing the potential of websites is key to i...

The Peruvian diet is recognized worldwide for its diversity and exquisiteness, which has made it an international gastronomic benchmark. Proof of this is that Peru is home to some of the best restaurants in the world, with distinctions in prestigious guides such as The World's 50 Best Restaurants and Michelin stars. But this comes at a price, since its composition is dominated by foods rich in carbohydrates and processed, which negatively affects the health of the population. This study has set itself the challenge of analyzing how nutrients interact in the daily Peruvian diet and their effect on health. To this end, a literature review was carried out with studies published between 2014 and 2024, using academic databases and rigorous selection criteria. The results show that positive interactions, such as the combination of vitamin C with non-heme iron, improve the bioavailability of ke...

In this paper a hybrid scheme given by diffusion equation in conjunction to classical electrodynamics to examine physics-based mechanisms behind the behavior of beta cells, is presented. Particular attention is paid on the scenario by which beta-cell is not able to segregate insulin granules. Thus, a mechanism that would explain anomalies as seen in the lost of functions to segregate granules of insulin, is proposed. In this manner, the main argument of this paper states that the processes previous to the segregation of insulin given by (i) entrance of insulin, (ii) exit of Potassium K+, (iii) entrance of Calcium 2+, and (iv) segregation of insulin belong in only one universal formulation. A pseudo code by which the diabetes disease might be seen as a bug of the biological software of beta cell is proposed. Therefore a scheme capable to fix that bug would constitute a path to alleviate t...
