This investigation was done in order to identify students with low levels of protective factors in suicidal risk (assertiveness, effective communication, self-esteem, decision making), evaluated with a questionnaire Ad Hoc (authors) and complementary the suicide risk, assessed with the Suicide Risk Questionnaire of Plutchik, in130 students of second, third and fourth year of a State School in the town of Huánuco, Peru. 29% (38 students) fulfill the inclusion criteria mentioned. We prepared and implemented a program to increase the protective factors mentioned and have an indirect influence on the suicide risk or other problems associated with unsatisfied needs found. Public Budgeting Program 068 (PP068 by its Spanish initials) is part of the National System for Disaster Risk Management financial strategy and is linked to disaster risk management processes—among them, the processes of Reactive Management (GR by its Spanish initials). It enables articulated interventions between entities from the three government levels to reduce the vulnerability of the population and their means of living. The study determined the relationship between PP068 and GR based on the budget allocation for the products and actions aimed at the preparation, response and rehabilitation processes. Plagiarism is a serious, yet widespread type of research misconduct, and is often neglected in developing countries. Despite its far-reaching implications, plagiarism is poorly acknowledged and discussed in the academic setting, and insufficient evidence exists in Latin America and developing countries to inform the development of preventive strategies. In this context, we present a longitudinal case study of seven instances of plagiarism and cheating arising in four consecutive classes (2011–2014) of an Epidemiology Masters’ program in Lima, Peru, and describe the implementation and outcomes of a multifaceted, “zero-tolerance” policy aimed at introducing research integrity. In Peru, the number of undergraduate programs, students, and faculty in political science has increased in recent years; however, this growth has not been accompanied by a corresponding increase in the academic output of graduates, a deficiency particularly evident in public universities. The objective of this research is to analyze the academic output in political science of students and graduates of the National University of San Marcos over the last twenty years. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, with an emphasis on the qualitative dimension, applying tools typical of state ethnography. El tema de investigación de esta tesis es conocer los factores que han contribuido a mejorar la calidad de vida de los recicladores de residuos sólidos del distrito de Miraflores a partir de su formalización. La informalidad laboral en nuestro país es de las más elevadas en la región. Para el año 2014, 11.5 millones de peruanos (72.8%) tuvieron un empleo informal (INEI 2014). La labor de reciclador es una actividad que en su mayoría se realiza de manera informal, como medio de subsistencia ante una situación económica precaria y por la falta de competencias y oportunidades para desempeñarse en otra labor. The organizers of this project –– the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture and Spirituality of the republic –– have set the goal to help all children learn one classical musical instrument by their graduation from general education school. El objetivo fue determinar la relación entre la percepción del desempeño docente y la satisfacción de los estudiantes universitarios de las ciencias de la salud de la Universidad Nacional Hermilio Valdizán de Huánuco, en el 2013. El diseño fue correlacional, prospectivo y transversal, la muestra estuvo constituido por 385 estudiantes; a quienes se les aplicaron las guías de entrevistas y el inventario del desempeño de los docentes, previo consentimiento informado. El análisis estadístico fue mediante el contraste Rho de Spearman, apoyándonos en el PASW V 20.0. The research project was developed in the community houses of the national Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF, its Spanish acronym) in the Department of Cauca, Colombia. The project’s principal objective was to conduct an initial diagnosis for a proposal on the social marketing of two biofortified crops—maize and common beans—in institutions and food-security programs in Cauca. The research was quantitative, qualitative, and descriptive.
