The article describes a control logic used to automate the mixing stage of the instant mashed potato process, in order to improve the quality of the final product. Thus, initially the characteristics of the automated process are detailed, specifying the programming logic on the programmable logic controller, to later demonstrate through a data collection process the percentage of improvement in the quality of the final product from the perspective of the users. Indicators: percentage of humidity in the mixing stage, water absorption index (IAA), water solubility index (ISA) and hydrogen potential (pH). The development of the research concludes that the automation of the process, achieved that the IAA index and the ISA index, obtained in the spraying stage, improve by 8.13% and 23.05%, respectively, finding analyzed values within the optimal ranges. This in turn reflected a 39.61% improve...

The process and means that the university offers its students must be efficient and of quality, even more so considering the influence of the quality of educational services on student satisfaction. The objective of this article is to analyze the perception of asynchronous learning according to the evaluation of the virtual classroom metrics, carried out by business administration students, the results will allow to continue improving the teaching-learning process in the virtual context of education higher. The methodology of this study is qualitative at the descriptive level, the validation of the data by Cronbach's Alpha, gave a reliability value of 0.985. The results show us that 73.8% of the students perceive that the virtual classroom improved communication and helped the exchange of information between students and 71.4% indicated that the use of the virtual classroom made them mor...

The objective of this article is to describe the satisfaction of students with the use of technological simulation tools in learning in the automatic process control course, as part of the pedagogical update in the context of dis-tance education. The Academic Satisfaction Scale (ESA) was used as a meas-urement instrument, the reliability of the data was performed through Cronbach's alpha, giving a consistencyvalue of 0.949. When developing the re-search, it was determined that 56.8% of the students are satisfied with the aca-demic experience of their learning using technological simulation tools in the virtual environment. On the other hand, 11.4% of students indicated that the content transmitted in this course does not excite them and they do not feel comfortable, these results will allow generating feedback to the teacher in their pedagogical techniques and teaching methods. Likewise,...

In this context of virtualization, the educational sector has seen the need to make use of technological advances, for this reason it is important to know the perception of students, after having fully adapted distance learning through tools virtual, which have allowed teachers and students to maintain the pedagogical link at a distance, either through the virtual classroom or through the use of simulation software. In this sense, the objective of this article is to identify the perception of teaching through virtual tools in university students and determine its level of effect or relationship in student satisfaction. This research is approached from a qualitative approach using the Likert measurement method and a content analysis methodology using virtual instruments. The results of the study indicate that 92.9% and 89.3% of the students are satisfied, these results focus on the indica...

The objective of this study is to analyze and discuss the metrics of the predictive model using the K-nearest neighbor (K-NN) learning algorithm, which will be applied to the data on the perception of engineering students on the quality of the virtual administrative service, such as part of the methodology was analyzed the indicators of accuracy, precision, sensitivity and specificity, from the obtaining of the confusion matrix and the receiver operational characteristic (ROC) curve. The collected data were validated through Cronbach's Alpha, finding consistency values higher than 0.9, which allows to continue with the analysis. Through the predictive model through the Matlab R2021a software, it was concluded that the average metrics for all classes are optimal, presenting a precision of 92.77%, sensitivity 86.62%, and specificity 94.7%; with a total accuracy of 85.5%. In turn, the highe...

At present, there is diverse scientific evidence of the contributions of smart environments (SE) that have positively impacted various urban problems. However, the concept of SE is very broad, so it is relevant to investigate how these technological trends have been integrated into the university educational environment. Therefore, the objective of this study is to explore and describe the state of the art on the impact of intelligent environments implemented through the Internet of Things (IoT) in university education. Therefore, a systematic review of the literature was developed. The research was developed with a mixed approach and descriptive scope. From this study, it was determined that the purpose of implementing SE in university education is focused on contributing to the teaching and learning process and managing and optimizing the use of resources provided by the educational en...

This article aims to describe the design of a circuit of a level transducer implemented by means of an ultrasonic sensor and controlled by Arduino Nano, applied to a water tank of a firefighting system. Initially, the integration of the Siemens 1212C programmable logic controller is described, in the connection between the sensor, the controller and the interfaces that allow to generate the monitoring, control and data recording, conditioned by a PWM pulse width modulated signal controlled by Arduino Nano. When developing the research and performing an analysis of the linear regression model, it is established that the behavior of the controlled variable with respect to time, generates a linear voltage response in the range of 0 to 10 volts; expressing in terms of correlational relationship a factor of R2 equal to 0.997, thus establishing that the designed transducer does not show suscep...

THE ADOPTION OF DISRUPTIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN HIGHER EDUCATION HAS TRANSFORMED THE TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. HOWEVER, THE REAL IMPACT OF THESE TECHNOLOGIES ON EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION AND THEIR VARIATION BETWEEN DIFFERENT CONTEXTS AND AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE ARE NOT YET FULLY UNDERSTOOD. IT IS ESSENTIAL TO CARRY OUT STUDIES THAT EXPLORE THE TRENDS AND AREAS WHERE THESE TECHNOLOGIES HAVE HAD THE GREATEST IMPACT, AS WELL AS TO IDENTIFY THE LESS STUDIED FIELDS THAT REQUIRE GREATER ATTENTION. BY EMPLOYING A QUANTITATIVE APPROACH AND EXPLORATORY-DESCRIPTIVE SCOPE, THIS STUDY REVIEWED 88 STUDIES, EXTRACTED FROM THE SCOPUS DATABASE. THE RESULTS SHOW A GROWING AND SUSTAINED TREND, ESPECIALLY IN THE POST-PANDEMIC PERIOD, IN THE SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION OF RESEARCH ON TECHNOLOGIES SUCH AS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, AUGMENTED REALITY, BIG DATA, AND GAMIFICATION. THEREFORE,...

The state of emergency declared in many countries due to the pandemic led universities to consider the incursion of technological tools to give continuity to the teaching and learning process; therefore it is significant to explore results regarding the application of augmented reality (AR) in education. The objective of the research is to generate knowledge from the systematic review of the literature framed in the context of virtual teaching in the midst of COVID-19. A bibliographic review was carried out under a mixed approach, exploratory and descriptive level. The findings showed that the application of AR in learning is not exclusive to any engineering specialty, but, on the contrary, it is versatile and adapts to various curricular contents; Also, the way in which augmented reality is applied is more focused on the use of mobile augmented reality (mobile AR) technology with marker...
