The investigation constitutes an analysis of the management of hazardous solid waste during the hydrocarbon spill in Ventanilla. The method used is descriptive and comparative, consisting of the search, evaluation and analysis of the facts. Inadequate waste management was evidenced during the hydrocarbon clean-up work. After the accident occurred, the quantity and physical composition of the waste generated were not strictly accounted for, a waste hierarchy must be defined due to its dangerousness, prioritizing the separation of waste at the source of generation, and the prevention of secondary pollution. Contingency planning must incorporate handling and storage at the source: temporary storage with impermeable containers, transport through clearly defined and signposted accesses, and define final disposal in secure landfills. It is concluded that hazardous solid waste is the responsibi...

Population growth generates a higher demand for food and, thereby the waste of larger quantities of food. The fight against this problem has been initiated in several countries through strict regulations that manage food waste: Peru has made proposals related to the use of food waste, however, they were ineffective when it became evident that there was a lot of waste The objective of this article is to analyze the management of food waste in Peru and the world, both in terms of regulations and situation; for this purpose, a bibliographic review was carried out taking into account the guidelines of circularity in food. The results obtained show deficiencies in the Peruvian and world regulatory framework, with the exception of Europe. It was found that the generation of food waste is abundant worldwide, especially in the hotel, restaurant and cafeteria sector, with portion size being the m...

The present research corresponds to a review on the investigations carried out based on the exposure of a diversity of fish to different concentrations and types of plastic waste, either through direct intake, exposure to contaminated environments or by transferring them through the trophic chain. In the development, a description of the types and degrees of affectations that this waste causes to the fish is presented; likewise, a comparison of the results obtained by some authors in their experiments has been included. As a result of the analysis carried out, it has been concluded that the waste is easily assimilated by fish, regardless of their size and that due to their small size, microplastics act as aquatic vectors capable of transporting organic and inorganic materials on their surface to cause potential damage to marine organisms that absorb them directly or indirectly.
