El presente trabajo de tesis se realizó para determinar la medida de biodegradación del polietileno de baja densidad mediante el uso del lepidóptero Gallería mellonella bajo condiciones térmicas propias en el 2017. Esta tesis es de tipo aplicada ya que se utilizó los conocimientos que se obtienen en la práctica, para aplicarlos, en la mayoría de los casos, en provecho de la sociedad. Se manejó como población todas las bolsas plásticas, que fueron puestas en a dos temperaturas diferentes 25ºC y 35ºC. Para la muestra se trabajó con 20 bolsas plásticas (polietileno de baja densidad).
