The productive performance of broilers supplemented with tylosin phosphate and enramycin as growth promoters up to 42 days of age was evaluated. Four hundred male broilers were distributed into 4 treatments of 100 birds with 5 repetitions each. The treatments were: T1, control; diet without antibiotic; T2, diet with 8% enramycin in a dose of 10 ppm; T3, diet with enramycin 8% in a dose of 5 ppm; T4, diet with tylosin phosphate 25% in a dose of 55 ppm. The treated groups presented a higher body weight and better feed conversion index and European productive efficiency index than the control group; however, there were no differences in body weight gain, feed intake and mortality.

The objective was to obtain a snack extruded from cereals (corn, rice, kiwicha) and giant squid protein concentrate (CPCG), which meets the protein and amino acid requirements for children aged 5 to 12 years. The process flow was reception of the raw material, ground, weighed and mixed, conditioning the mixture, extruded, cooled, packed in a bioriented polypropylene bag, sealed and stored. The base mix included: 60.0% corn, 18.5% rice, 15.0% kiwicha and 4.0% CPCG. Likewise, the suitable parameters for the extrusion process were: 12.6% moisture of the mixture and screw speed of the extruder of 150 RPM. The extruded snack had a round shape with an average diameter of 1,3 cm, cream color and no smell and taste of the giant squid resource. Se realizó un estudio de la diversidad de especies del género Vibrio asociada a mortalidades larvarias masivas en la concha de abanico (Argopecten purpuratus) cultivadas en “hatchery”. Las muestras fueron tomadas en seis desoves de concha de abanico en un “hatchery”, tanto en individuos en el fondo del tanque de cultivo como suspendidos en la columna de agua, a 72 horas posteriores al desove a 19 °C. Se transportaron las muestras a una temperatura de 5 ± 2 °C, a los laboratorios de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), donde se incubaron a 20 °C en los medios de Agar Marino (AM) y Tiosulfato Citrato Bilis Sacarosa (TCBS). The effect of a probiotic formula containing a consortium of actinomycetes on the productive performance and intestinal integrity of broiler chickens from 1 to 28 days of age reared in experimental batteries was evaluated. A total of 320 male Cobb 500 chickens were used, randomly distributed in four treatments with eight repetitions and ten chickens per repetition: T1, basal diet (without growth promoters); T2, basal diet + growth promoters (tylosin 200 g/t, salinomycin + nicarbazin 500 g/t); T3, basal diet + Bacillus subtilis (100 g/t); T4, basal diet + actinomycetes consortium (100 g/t). The use of L protein coupled magnetic particles for the concentration and purification of immunoglobulin M (mIgM) monoclonal antibodies against Taenia solium was evaluated. Three concentration methods and different elution times were evaluated and the ratio of particles to the ratio of mIgM was optimized. It is demonstrated that: 1) with the use of magnetic particles, a previous concentration of mIgM is not required, which reduces the manipulation of the antibodies and improves the recovery, 2) the use of a binding buffer can be omitted, since the pH of most cell culture supernatants are neutral, and 3) longer elution times (~ 45 minutes) are needed to increase recovery to a level greater than 80%.
