This paper aims to address the issue of community safety in Santiago de Surco, where current security measures fail to meet the needs of the district's residents. Despite the introduction of the Alerta Surco App by the municipality, its limited adoption, functionality, and effectiveness hinder its ability to address safety concerns and foster community engagement. Key challenges include a prevalent sense of insecurity, inefficient communication between residents and authorities, and low awareness of available safety tools. The proposed solution focuses on advancing the Alerta Surco App through the integration of more advanced features, such as chatbots, to promote community engagement in safety issues, provide real-time assistance, and streamline emergency reporting. Meanwhile, a targeted promotion and education campaign aims to increase user adoption and broader community engagement. Th...

“Background: There is an urgent need to assess changes in well-being on a multinational scale during the COVID-19 pandemic, thus culturally valid scales must be available. Methods: With this in mind, this study examined the invariance of the WHO well-being index (WHO-5) among a sample of 5183 people from 12 Latin Americans countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay). Results: The results of the present study indicate that the WHO-5 is strictly invariant across samples from different Latin American countries. Furthermore, the results of the IRT analysis indicate that all items of the WHO-5 were highly discriminative and that the difficulty required to respond to each of the five items is ascending. Additionally, the results indicated the presence of moderate and small size differences in subjective well-bein...

Inappropriate lifestyles are present in work environments that are significant challenges to the health and wellbeing of workers, especially in office environments. The review aims to comprehensively identify and analyze the effect of WPPAs (physical activity-based workplace wellness programs) on employee productivity and health and to provide information to organizations on the importance, benefits, and possible implementation strategies. A total of 321 original open access articles were identified from the SCOPUS database and 25 publications met the inclusion criteria. The (PICOC) strategy was used to define the eligibility criteria. The findings showed positive effects of physical activity on cardiovascular health, muscle strength, and work productivity. Each type of physical exercise could not be analyzed in depth because of their differences in terms of methodologies or population a...

The paper explores whether or not there is evidence for a causal link between maternal depression symptomatology and child well-being. Considering three rounds of data from the Peruvian Young Lives (PYL) longitudinal study sample, the paper explores this relationship by using the SRQ-20 instrument, which is typically used as a screening tool for common mental disorders, and by collecting information about mothers’ socioeconomic characteristics and their children’s well-being outcomes. We found a low correlation of SRQ-20 scores across rounds, suggesting that the instrument may be capturing short-term depression or anxiety symptoms rather than chronic mental illness. Furthermore, the SRQ-20 instrument is correlated both with characteristics of the mother and with child well-being indicators, which change over time (nutritional, health, and educational outcomes as well as feelings and ...

Deep learning (DL) is a new approach that provides exceptional speed in healthcare activities with greater accuracy. In this regard, "convolutional neural network"or CNN and blockchain are two important parts that together fasten the disease detection procedures securely. CNN can detect and predict diseases like lung cancer and help determine food quality, and blockchain is responsible for data. This research is going to analyze the extension of blockchain with the help of CNN for lung cancer prediction and making food safer. CNN algorithm has been trained with a huge number of images by altering the filters, features, epoch values, padding value, kernel size, and resolution. Subsequently, the CNN accuracy has been measured to understand how these factors affect the accuracy. A linear regression analysis has been carried out in IBM SPSS where the independent variables selected are image ...

To translate and validate the WHO-5 General Well-being Index for the people of the Peruvian South, a cross-sectional instrumental study was carried out with the voluntary participation of 186 people of both sexes between the ages of 18 and 65 years (M = 29.67 years old; SD = 10.94) living in the south region of Peru. The validity evidence was assessed based on the content using Aiken's coefficient V according to the internal structure through a confirmatory factor analysis, and reliability was calculated through Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The expert judgment was favorable for all items (V > 0.70). The unidimensional structure of the scale was confirmed (χ2 = 10.86, df = 5, p = 0.05; RMR = 0.020; GFI = 0.980; CFI = 0.990; TLI = 0.980 y RMSEA = 0.080), and it presents a suitable reliability range (α = > 0.75). This shows that the WHO-5 General Well-being Index for the people of the Pe...

Introduction: Owing to its importance in the development and evaluation of health policies in favor of the general population, there is currently a greater interest in the study of well-being. Therefore, a valid and reliable measurement of well-being is necessary. In this context, this study evaluated the evidence of validity based on the internal structure, reliability, and factor invariance by sex of the General Well- Being Index (who-5 wbi). Materials and Methods: A total of 499 university students (female = 271; male = 228) from the city of Trujillo, Peru, participated in the study. A confirmatory factor analysis, reliability by internal consistency, and factor invariance by sex were performed using a multigroup analysis. Results: The confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the 5-dimensional model with 5 correlated errors of items 1 and 4 presented a good fit (χ2 = 9.667 [gl = 4...
