Explicit Finite Diferences Methods (FDM) are used for numerical simulations in seismic problems. In these cases the medium is heterogeneous and for the guarantee of a precise and stable solution there is the need to use refined discretizations for spatial and temporal variables, resulting in large-scale problems. In this paper we present the explicit FDM for the wave equation in a heterogeneous domain and show the results through computer simulations.

The architecture, engineering, construction, and operation (AECO) industry has brought transformations within the field. Despite the changes, traditional teaching methods such as analyzing two-dimensional plans and models are still being used in training processes, which do not effectively promote the development of spatial skills. Los incendios forestales se han venido incrementando en las últimas cuatro décadas a nivel mundial. En el Perú de acuerdo a los datos del INDECI, en los últimos 10 años se evidencia una tendencia creciente. La ocurrencia de estos eventos representa la degradación de la calidad del aire, de la flora y pone en grave riesgo a muchas personas y zonas agrícolas. The Altiplano region of the South American Andes is marked by an inhospitable climate to which the autochthonous human populations adapted and then developed great ancient civilizations, such as the Tiwanaku culture and the Inca Empire. Since pre-Columbian times, different rulers established themselves around the Titicaca and Poopo Lakes. By the time of the arrival of Spaniards, Aymara and Quechua languages were predominant on the Altiplano under the rule of the Incas, although the occurrence of other spoken languages, such as Puquina and Uruquilla, suggests the existence of different ethnic groups in this region. Our efforts are oriented to assess bovine Y-chromosome gene expression patterns. One set of genes that are of interest are the so-called X-degenerate Y-chromosome genes that are located in the male-specific region of the Y-chromosome (MSY). This region contains 95% of the DNA of the Y chromosome. These genes are single copy and have an X-chromosome homolog. Both, the Y-encoded and X-encoded homologs have ubiquitous expression profiles. However, some genes, like SRY that regulates male sex determination, have functions that are more specific. Identifying DNA sequence differences between these homologs will allow evaluation of their spatial and temporal expression patterns. Identification of the Y-encoded mRNAs and their isoforms will allow our understanding of tissue specific expression of isoforms in male tissues. El presente estudio caracterizó la distribución espacio-temporal de las corrientes marinas y los niveles de oxígeno frente a Perú en el periodo 2015- 2016, con el objetivo de entender los cambios dinámicos experimentados durante el desarrollo del evento cálido ocurrido. Los datos empleados fueron obtenidos durante los cruceros de evaluación de merluza (Merluccius gayi peruanus, Ginsburg, 1954) y los cruceros bio-oceanográficos del Programa Presupuestal 0068 El Niño realizados por el IMARPE, que incluyen los parámetros de temperatura, salinidad con los que se calcularon las corrientes geostróficas (corrientes relativas) y oxígeno disuelto hasta las 100 mn de la costa y 500 m de profundidad. El presente trabajo es la caracterización petrográfica y litogeoquímica de cuatro pórfidos, representando cada uno de ellos a distintos arcos magmáticos en el tiempo: Jurásico, Paleoceno y Mioceno (pórfido Chipispaya, datado en 22 Ma.), y habiendo a la fecha pocos estudios realizados en estos pórfidos con el detalle realizado en el presente trabajo. The relationship between executive functions (EF), creative personality, and academic performance in Argentine university students was examined. A total of 248 students (M = 22.97 years, SD = 4.43) from various Argentine provinces participated. The Adult Executive Functioning Inventory (ADEXI), the Cognitive Flexibility Scale, the Creative Behavior Scale (ECC), and the Creative Personality Scale (EPC) were used, along with academic performance data and sociodemographic information. Data were collected online through Google Forms and analyzed using Spearman correlations and mediation analysis with robust Maximum Likelihood estimator and Bootstrap. En esta investigación se estudiaron suelos contaminados con derivados de petróleo usando un sistema de imagen hiperespectral de laboratorio con el objetivo de analizar la respuesta espectral en la región de 900 a 1700 nm. La identificación de especies de Hongos Micorrízicos Arbusculares (HMA), presentes en áreas donde se cultiva el café (Coffea arabica L.) en nuestra Región son de gran importancia, pues constituye la base para la investigación de especies que pueden ser aprovechadas en el futuro como bioprotectores y biofertilizantes en este cultivo y así contribuir al mejoramiento sostenible de la producción.
