We studied the uniform stabilization of a class of Timoshenko systems with tip load at the free end of the beam. Our main result is to prove that the semigroup associated to this model is not exponentially stable. Moreover, we prove that the semigroup decays polynomially to zero. When the damping mechanism is efective only on the boundary of the rotational angle, the solution also decays polynomially with rate depending on the coecients of the problem. The objective of this work is to present in a didactic way the results obtained in the article [9], using the theory of semigroups used in [10] and also contribute with the numerical part seen in [1]

Moreover, we prove that the semigroup decays polynomially to zero. The system decays polynomially with rate dependingon the coeficients of the problem. We also show the computational modeling of the system showing the results obtained theoretically.

Explicit Finite Diferences Methods (FDM) are used for numerical simulations in seismic problems. In these cases the medium is heterogeneous and for the guarantee of a precise and stable solution there is the need to use refined discretizations for spatial and temporal variables, resulting in large-scale problems. In this paper we present the explicit FDM for the wave equation in a heterogeneous domain and show the results through computer simulations.

Estudiamos la estabilización uniforme de una clase de sistemas Timoshenko con carga puntual en el extremo libre de la viga. Nuestro resultado principal es demostrar que el semigrupo asociado a este modelo no es exponencialmente estable. Además, demostramos que el semigrupo decae polinomialmente a cero. Cuando el mecanismo de amortiguación es efectivo solo en el límite del ángulo de rotación, la solución también decae polinomialmente con una tasa que depende de los coeficientes del problema. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar de forma didáctica los resultados contenidos en el artículo [9], usando la teoría de semigrupos vista en [10] y también contribuir con la parte numérica vista en [1].

This paper proposes a simple mathematical model that represents the dynamics of youth play for adolescents from 11 to 18 years. This model is defined by a system of 3 differential equations, which are based on continuous processes. The specification of the classes of our model is based on the group classification of the state of gravity of the problem given in [10]. Then we proceed to find the equilibrium points of the system and its analysis. For our numerical simulation we estimate all the parameters of the model using the research work [6] and we apply the Runge kutta algorithm of order 4. As a result and conclusion it is determined that the problem with the game is endemic among young people. In addition, the prevalence of problems with the game is lower in students aged 15 to 18 than in students aged 11 to 14.

This work aims to present a report on the analysis and calibration of uncertainties of the model that describes the movement of a simple pendulum. The results will be presented through different figures generated by numerical methods and tables whose data are the result of simulation.
