the purpose of this research study was to determine whether implementing a motivation program could lead to a reduction in the rate of occupational accidents in the bakery plant of a manufacturing company based in Lima. The study followed a quasi-experimental approach and used a pretest/posttest design with a single group and a sample of 117 workers. The data collection methods included statistical data on work-related accidents, direct observations in the workplace, recording and monitoring of interactions, and a motivation questionnaire. The research results revealed that implementing the IPLEFOR motivation program—which spanned 21 months—led to a 100% reduction in the accident rate. Consequently, it led to a significant improvement in the occupational health and safety system.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is an additional slow-evolving pandemic that precedes the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue when it ends. However, in countries such as Peru where there is high consumption and inadequate prescription of antibiotics, a more challenging future scenario can be expected. Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs (ASP) are multidisciplinary teams of professionals that aim to contain the emergence of multidrug-resistant organisms through strategies such as audit of antibiotic prescription or creating antibiotic treatment guidelines based on local AMR rates. The difficulty in the timely diagnosis of co-infections or superinfections in the clinical course of COVID-19 leads to inappropriate use of antibiotics, forcing ASP to adapt their strategies in this changing scenario. In Latin America, ASP not only has to promote behavior change in antibiotic prescribers but also ...

DOI: 10.26439/persona2020.n023(1).4832 The purpose of the study was to evaluate the feasibility of a program of mindfulness intervention applied to cancer patients in the city of Arequipa, Peru. Participants were randomly selected for a six-week program or for the control group. We used psychometric instruments to measure stress and depression. Adherence and participations of the patients in the program demonstrate the feasibility of the program with breast cancer in Peru. Results show that, in comparison with the control group, there was significant reductions of perceived stress and depression amongst participants.

The pre –experimental study with pre and post test, with one group. In a sample of 133 teachers, 08 teachers were selected women, according to inclusion criteria. We used the survey and a questionnaire that included demographics and Maslach Scale - ED. Some conclusions were: 1) Teachers have “Burnout” in the initial stages (78.2%), intermediate (2.3%) and final (19.5%) 2) The psychoeducational intervention program applied to cases of Burnout in the final stage (VII) has been significantly effective in reducing emotional exhaustion (83.3%).

Workers and micro SMEs often lack time and attentional resources to acquire the technical and business skills necessary to increase productivity. Provide training for digital media is a possible solution to this problem as it adapts to the availability of time workers and employers and allows interactively customize the content so that learning is maximized. To test this hypothesis, we conducted an experimental evaluation using a randomized controlled trial in a Peruvian company advertising services to verify that, providing training intervention based on technologies of e -learning of second generation that is suited to the capabilities care and busy work schedule of employees of SMEs, the understanding of the content of training and labor productivity is increased.

The investigation had the objectives of measuring the impact of a recreational program in the promotion of resilience, as well as its dimensions according to sex, and determine if the hours of participation, the number of recreational activities and the number of sessions was related to the levels of resilience and its dimensions. The experimental group was composed of 19 subjects, with an average age of 12.9. All attended were in seventh grade in an elementary school in the Talca region, Chile. The design was quasi-experimental of a non-equivalent pre-test-posttest control group. We used a mixed variance analysis of three tracks with repeated measures in a factor, and partial correlation. The results allowed us to observe the absence of a significant interaction (p < .05) among the group measured by sex, with regard to resilience and its dimensions. On the other hand, there has been ...
