Meteorological observations play a major role in land management; thus, it is vital to properly plan the monitoring network of weather stations (WS). This study, therefore, selected ‘highly suitable’ sites with the objective of replanning the WS network in Amazonas, NW Peru. A set of 11 selection criteria for WS sites were identified and mapped in a Geographic Information System, as well as their importance weights were determined using Analytic Hierarchy Process and experts. A map of the suitability of the territory for WS sites was constructed by weighted superimposition of the criteria maps. On this map, the suitability status of the 20 existing WS sites was then assessed and, if necessary, relocated. A manually classified dataset of images obtained by four static cameras located around a construction site is presented. Eight object classes, typically found in a construction environment, were considered. The dataset consists of 1046 images selected from video footage by a frame extraction algorithm and txt files containing the objects' class and coordinates information. These data can be used to develop computer vision techniques in the engineering and construction fields.

Metal mining is one of the economic pillars of the Peruvian economy. Peru is the main producer of gold, zinc, lead, and tin in Latin America and the second largest producer of copper, silver, and zinc worldwide. Despite its economic importance, mining has also left a plethora of Mining Environmental Liabilities (MEL) whose inadequate waste management represents a risk for both the environment and human health and is a common trigger of social problems. The present work reports the successful synthesis of a novel Pb2+ ion-imprinted polymer (Pb-IIP) based on a rhodizonate-like selective ligand by precipitation. Three functional monomers, namely acid acrylic (ACRY), 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid (AMPSA) and allylamine (ALLY), were chosen by computer simulation using density functional theory (DFT). The materials obtained were applied for the selective removal of Pb2+ from aqueous solutions and were characterized by Fourier transform Infra-red (FTIR), scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) and flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). The calculation of these responses requires precise knowledge of the environmental conditions and reliable methods to predict the values associated with a reliability target level. El criterio de selección del tajo final fue aquella envolvente que arroja el mejor valor presente neto (VPN) en función de precios de mineral, costos operativos, costos de procesamiento, recuperación, tasa de retorno, entre otros factores. En base a los resultados se logró determinar tres etapas de explotación para el yacimiento denominado Pit Checocollo y una sola fase para el yacimiento Morrenas. Dearth of information exists on the effects of planting dates and genotypes on grasshopper (Zonocerus variegatus L.) infestation and dry matter accumulation in the root organ of cassava. An experiment was conducted at the School of Agriculture and Food Sciences Experimental site of Njala University site during 2007/2008 and 2015/2016 cropping seasons. This study assessed the effects of planting date and cassava genotypes on grasshopper infestation and root dry matter accumulation in cassava.
