The goal of the present work is to study some properties and applications of the Gamma Function, denoted by Γ. Initially, we use the Lebesgue Integral Theory in order to prove that the improper integral given by Γ is convergent. We describe the extended domain property of Γ, and we also deduce some elementary properties. We present two different ways of proving that B(x, y) = Γ(x)Γ(y)/Γ(x+y) , where B is the Beta Function. Finally, we include some applications of the Gamma Function, between them some serve up as tools on Reliability Engineering.

En esta investigación se propone un nuevo modelo de regresión a la media, para variables independiente fraccionarias usando enlaces asimétricos, estas variables toman valores continuos en el intervalo abierto (0,1) e inclusive tomando los valores extremos 0 y 1, estas variables podrían ser proporciones, tasas, ratios, etc. Para el desarrollo de la tesis, tomamos como base la investigación desarrollada por (Bayes & Valdivieso, 2016), la cual ajusta el conjunto de ecuaciones para el rango (0,1) y los extremos 0 y 1 en un solo proceso de estimación a la media, por lo cual puede ser trabajado con funciones de enlace arbitrarios. La resistencia antimicrobiana constituye una amenaza global que afecta la salud humana, animal y ambiental. En este contexto, los primates en cautiverio pueden actuar como reservorios de bacterias resistentes, siendo relevantes para la vigilancia epidemiológica y la conservación. El estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar el perfil de resistencia antibiótica en aislados de Escherichia coli productores y no productores de beta-lactamasas de espectro extendido (BLEE) en primates neotropicales de un centro de rescate en el departamento de Madre de Dios, Perú. Abstract Objectives: To determine correlation between hormone therapy and endometrial mucosa estrogen, progesterone receptors and endometrial histological pathology in postmenopausal women. Material and Methods: Forty postmenopausal women between 43 and 60 years old with climacteric syndrome received oral continuous 2 mg of 17 beta estradiol and 1 mg of noresthisterone acetate. Basal and 8 months post treatment edo metrial biopsies were processed for histopathologic and immune histochemical studies for estrogen and progesterone receptors. Results: Physiologic menopause occurred between 42 and 52 years old, average 46,4 years. Materials and methods: Descriptive, observational and prospective study in which the level of asthma control was recorded in 521 children in the asthma programme of Hospital III Yanahuara (Arequipa, Peru), during the period from June 2020 to December 2021, by means of remote consultation using the ACT and the collection of clinical findings (daytime and night-time symptoms, emergency visits and the use of beta-2 agonist bronchodilators), at two points in time during the COVID-19 pandemic. Las infecciones del tracto urinario (ITU) constituyen la segunda causa de enfermedades infecciosas en entornos comunitarios y hospitalarios, siendo más frecuentes en mujeres que en hombres. Escherichia coli uropatógena (UPEC, por sus siglas en inglés) coloniza el tracto urogenital y es responsable del 70-90 % de las ITU comunitarias (ITUc) y del 50 % de las ITU hospitalarias (ITUh). Objetivo: Comparar el nivel de control del asma mediante el uso del Asthma Control Test (ACT) y manifestaciones clínicas en dos grupos de pacientes tratados con diferentes corticosteroides inhalados (GCI). Materiales y métodos. Estudio descriptivo, observacional y prospectivo donde se registró en 521 niños del programa de asma del Hospital III Yanahuara (Arequipa, Perú) el Nivel de Control del Asma, durante el periodo de junio del 2020 a diciembre 2021, por medio de la consulta remota empleando el ACT y la recopilación de los hallazgos clínicos (síntomas diurnos, nocturnos, visita a emergencias y uso de broncodilatadores beta 2 agonistas), en dos momentos durante la pandemia COVID-19. This study was aimed at linguistically adapting the short version of McClosky's Academic Procrastination Scale (APS-S) and obtaining evidence of validity, reliability, and equity in university students from Lima. A total of 4,534 students participated, 2,052 women (45.3%) and 2,482 men (54.7%). The confirmatory factorial analysis of the scale reached an adequate fit to the hypothesized measurement model (CFI = .994, TLI = .988, RMSEA = .038, SRMR = .014). In addition, validity is evidenced with other variables, through correlations with academic self-efficacy (r=-.319; p<0.001) and academic performance (r= - .146; p < .001).
