The environmental recovery of coastal ecosystems is an environmental management initiative for consultation among the main actors in the development of a city. This work presents an environmental recovery proposal that includes certain management instruments, aimed at reversing the situation of environmental degradation of the coastal waters of Chancay Bay. Due to the importance of the town of Chancay at the regional level and due to the complexity of its environmental problems, this proposal constitutes an alternative of environmental management that can be taken into account in other coastal areas of our territory.

Concerns about environmental problems have increased considerably in recent times. Interest has been given at all levels of government, non-governmental organizations, scientific and technical groups, etc. due to the interrelation between the natural environment and the anthropic environment that are feasible to create risky contingencies. These are approached from three variables: the agent (nature and / or man), the time (before, during and after the event) and lastly, the effects it produces. From an environmental perspective, the industrialization of fishmeal has a significant impact on the ecosystem in which it operates, also affecting the well-being and health of people. This industry is an activity that generates foreign exchange, is a source of employment and contributes to the development of Peru, taking advantage of a resource that is relatively abundant in the Peruvian marine ...

The city of Chimbote presents fishing as one of its main activities, which makes it consider one of the ports with the highest fishing production in Peru. Other activities are the steel industry, among others. These productive activities are leading this city to a deterioration of the environment, one of its causes being the application of inadequate technologies and the misuse of space. Ecological-economic zoning is considered as a planning instrument, which aims to promote the harmonious development of a territory. The present work proposes a methodology, which approximates the proposal of hierarchization of environmental variables, modified according to Etter, (1990) and consists of evaluating a certain situation, from studies of landscapes, plant associations, pedological studies and climatic, all of static type, without considering the evolution and the flows that define the structu...

The influence of the addition of alkaline mass in the stabilization process of two waste water sludges was studied. The increase in the PH of the sludge, carrying it to values near to twelve, is due to the increase of alkaline mass additions during the stabilization of the residual sludge. This technique was used to stabilize the sludge and to give an agricultural valorization to the residual sludge. In this context, the problematic characteristics present in the sludge will lead us to a preliminary treatment of the sewage sludge.

The “Pintadilla” (Cheilodactylus variegatus Valenciennes, 1833) is a marine species that grows near the coast and is caught by artisanal fishing for human consumption. The objective of this study was to determine the concentration of mercury in this species in both muscle tissue and liver tissue. A total of 32 samples were collected, for 8 months, determining the concentration of total mercury using the cold vapor atomic absorption spectrophotometer. In general, the highest average concentration of total mercury was found in the samples collected in the Chorrillos Artisanal Fishery Market, both for muscle tissue (0.0563-0.2632 mg/kg) and for liver tissue (0.0464-0.2694 mg/kg), with respect to the Ancon Artisanal Fisheries Market, both for muscle tissue (0.0273-0.1193 mg/kg) and for liver tissue (0.0488-0.1911 mg/kg) all on a wet basis. It was observed that these results do not exceed...
