This is an experimental, prospective and longitudinal study, where it was evaluated influence of the tongue on occluso-maxillary growth of the pigs. We took four 1-month-old pigs. They were separated in control and experimental groups. Initial cefalometric radiograph was taken in both groups. Then, experimental group pigs were partially glossectomized. After one month and a half we took another cefalometric radiograph in control and experimental group. We observed that mandibular and maxillary growth was significantly reduced lengthwise. It was seen a disminished inclination of mandibular incisors in glossectomized animals compared to control group.

One hundred chicks Cobb 500 one day old, ofboth sexes, were used in a feeding trial in which the effect of the inclusion of an emulsifier-surfactant product in the diet on the food consumption, increase of live weight, weight and performance of housing, feed conversion and economic merit. The product used is supplier of fosfatidil hill, smooth fosfatidil hill and polyethylene glycol ricinoleato. The following treatments were evaluated: Tl, witness; T2, 0.025 %; T3, 0.05 %; T4, 0.075 % of the product. The analysis showed that the product was better used to live weight gain in younger age of the chickens; feed conversion was 13% more efficient and economic merit 11 % more efficient in treatment 2 compared with the control. Se realizó la necropsia a una serpiente venenosa Lachesis muta (Familia Vipiridae), procedente de Satipo, Junín, de 1.95 cm de longitud y 9 años, que se encontraba cautiva en el serpentario de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Lima. Se encontró cuatro pentastómidos en la cavidad corporal y en la serosa pulmonar. Los parásitos fueron fijados en formol al 10% y diafanizados con lactofenol. El estudio morfológico determinó que tres de ellos eran hembras, pues tenían el gonoporo en el extremo posterior y el cuerpo cilíndrico semejante al de un anélido, en tanto que el cuarto parásito era macho, ya que presentaba la parte anterior dilatada y el poro genital en la región anterior, cerca de la boca. A necropsy was conducted in a venomus snake Lachesis muta (Family Vipiridae), originary from Satipo, Junín. This snake was 1.95 cm long, 9 years old, and was captive at the serpentarium of Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Lima. Four pentastomids were found in the corporal cavity and lung serosa. The parasites were fixed in 10% formol and cleared with lactofenol. The morphologic evaluation revealed that three of them were females (gonopore close to the end body and cylindrical body shape similar to an annelid) and one male (expanded front body and genital pore near the mouth). The parasites had 4 hooks where two of them showed some sclerotic appendixes compatible with adult forms. The aim of this study was to know the levels of phosphorus and its effects on feed intake and body weight in female alpacas during the breeding season (January-February) and weaning (August-September). In the first phase, serum phosphorus levels were determined in 200 11-13-month-old alpacas, located in four alpaca regions of Peru. P levels were 8.25 ± 1.63, 5.25 ± 1.46, 6.42 ± 1.84 and 4.8 ± 1.61 mg/dl for the regions of Pasco, Junín, Cuzco and Puno, respectively, with significant differences (p<0.05) between regions. P values in one region were below the reference limit (5-11.5 mg/dl) and the another near the lower limit, which could be considered as deficient in P. Actinomycosis is a rare infection caused by Actinomyces spp, a gram-positive germ of saprophytic nature, located in the mouth, genital tract and lower gastrointestinal tract. Its diagnosis is difficult because of its low frequency and variable clinical presentation. We report the case of a 28-year-old female, 34½ weeks pregnant, who presented a pelvic and hypogastric mass accompanied by abdominal pain. One day before admission, the contraction-like pain in the right iliac fossa intensified. The patient underwent a cesarean section and a full-term product was obtained. Objective: Explain some of the causes that have influenced the little success achieved by social isolation, which has not allowed to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods. To find out some of the causes, a survey was applied virtually, between June 12 and 22, 2020, to 568 people segmented into three age groups: A from 17 to 35 years old, B from 36 to 54 years old and C from 55 to 71 years. El presente trabajo intitulado: “CALIDAD DE VIDA EN PACIENTES DE LA ESTRATEGIA SANITARIA DE CONTROL Y PREVENCIÓN DE TUBERCULOSIS EN LOS CENTROS DE SALUD DE SAN SEBASTIAN, SANTA ROSA Y SAN JERONIMO CUSCO-2020”, cuyo objetivo general fue el de Identificar la calidad de vida de los pacientes. El diseño metodológico que se utilizó fue descriptivo y transversal, la población estuvo conformada por pacientes con tuberculosis, cuya muestra fue de 36 personas (no probabilístico).
