This research project modeled and simulated a ventilation system at a Mining Concession, obtaining real-time information regarding the fans used to ventilate the mine. The simulation was developed using the VENTSIM 5 software, which also helped define the number of fans and the operating parameters required, field information, mine dimensions, the mining method, production, geothermal gradient, gas emission, air stream, and air pressure. In addition, the results from software operation revealed the need to open chimneys and use fans. Furthermore, the results also suggest that a specialist dedicated to ventilation and fan maintenance must be hired to formalize mining operations as per the Occupational Safety and Health Mining Regulations from Executive Action No. 024-2016-EM as this Mining Concession is currently operating without license.

In this work, we consider the primitive equations of an ocean circulation model for the southern pacific, which consists of the time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations in the β-plane coupled with the temperature transport equation. Specifically, the full three-dimensional equations are adopted and formulated as a monolithic system of nonstationary, nonlinear, coupled partial differential equations. The El Nino phenomenon is simulated by the action of given wind stresses on the ocean surface. We present an approximation scheme with Crank-Nicolson finite differences in time, and in space we take inf-sup stable Galerkin finite elements for the Navier-Stokes part and bilinear elements for the temperature. We solve the resulting, nonlinear monolithic discrete system by Newton's method. Numerical experiments with realistic geometry and material data are conducted, which show the...

Currently there is a wide range of software to simulate robotic cell and interact with a process. This article details the procedure to simulate and program a robotic system of classification of items using the software Cosimir Educational. The project includes a window model, positions and programming. Programming is performed using the language Mitsubishi Robot Language (MRL), which is simple but with enough capacity to perform tasks with the robot. This language has commands for movement control, counters, timers, subroutines, loops and incorporates input and output signals.

Over the last years, using phenomena models in interpreting and designing of software in metallurgical processes has been increasing. In this present research, a series of experimental test with polymetallic minerals is shown, which have been submitted to Flotation, Filtration, Leaching and Sedimentation processes. Mathematic modelling of such processes is shown, as well as the processing and simulation of the experimental data through the respective models. It is intended to contrast them with data from metallurgical plants for their respective validations. All these results will be used for a better planning and control of industrial variables in a concentrating plant.

Hemileia vastatrix is a fungus that causes coffee rust disease and, depending on the level of severity, reduces the photosynthetic capacity of the plant and of new shoots, leading to low coffee yields and even death; its symptoms are visible on the leaf. Systems based on computer algorithms have been developed to predict diseases and pests in coffee. The objective of the manuscript was to analyse the detection of rust occurrence in coffee plantations, through field determinations of climatological, agronomic and crop management variables using data mining algorithms. A systematic review of studies published from 2001 to 2021 was carried out in the Scopus, Ebsco Host and Scielo databases, considering as an inclusion criterion the works that used experimental design in data collection. The studies included in this review were 22, 64% of which came from the top two coffee-roducing countries...

Within the commercial sector, SMEs represent more than 90% of all companies; they are responsible for 50% of GDP and generate between 60% and 70% of employment worldwide, which is why they are critical in the Peruvian economy. However, through an exhaustive review of the literature and sectoral analysis, we concluded they have a high risk of failure in the short term due to various problems, such as poor inventory management. In Peru, the provisions for carrying out inventories usually have a ratio of between 1% and 1.4% of the total inventory stock; thus, SMEs belonging to the hardware sector more frequently present this problem that affects the profitability of their companies. For this reason, the need arises to design an inventory control model that increases the productivity of hardware SMEs. After the pilot implementation of the first component, an increase in distribution efficien...

Experimental data of efflux time for tank with exit pipe are comparad with values calculated by unsteady-state model(NoE) and quasi-steady-state model(SE). The time required to drain the tank calculated by boths modal give the same results when the step size is 0.1 seconds in the numerical solutlon of modal NoE. In some instances the calculations with the NoE modal glve a deviation of ±1% respect to the experimental value.

This work analyzes water flows in open irrigation channels with bend failures. To improve this failure, a mathematical model based on elliptic equations is proposed, which is solved by applying the SchwarzChristoffel transformation in complex analysis. Given its complex geometry, and with the desire to improve the structural curve of the channel, a numerical method is employed for adaptive mesh generation, based on conformal mapping via the Schwarz-Christoffel transformation. This allows for the obtaining of orthogonal meshes adapted to the geometry of the bends. The fundamental part of this study lies in the detailed simulation of the flow in the channel bends and in the evaluation of the bend’s geometric configuration and the improvement technique for hydraulic efficiency of the channel, ultimately aiming to enhance its hydraulic performance. The results obtained will be contras...

The objective of this work is to validate the precipitation forecasts simulated with the Brazilian Regional Atmospheric Modelling Systems (BRAMS) numerical model in its version 5.3, for the La Libertad Region in Peru; this region of Peru has 80% of its land located in the northern highlands of Peru. In mountainous areas, precipitation is strongly influenced by the height of the terrain, a poor representation of the topographic elevations and depressions of the terrain can lead to an erroneous representation of the resolvable phenomena explicit by the model. Taking into account this characteristic of the study area, in the first instance the BRAMS model was configured to adequately represent the rugged orography of the local área at a horizontal resolution of 10 km. Then, the model was run to simulate precipitation forecasts at time horizons of 24, 48, 72, 96 and 120 ...

We present a study of the expected advantages of application of eHealth services like telemedicine in non-urban zones located over the north part of Lima city. Essentially, this paper is focused on the fact how type-2 diabetes mellitus (DMII) and tuberculosis (TB) are spreading into a specific human group it how it might be alleviated with modern concepts of applications of eHealth technologies like telemedicine. In order to extract the most representative patterns a survey data collection was applied up to 50 families which were randomly selected. This information has served to simulate 1000 individual samples through the usage of the Monte Carlo algorithm. The simulated statistics in conjunction to the telemedicine methodologies enter into a mathematical formulation based on success probabilities and efficiencies. The resulting calculations allow us to analyze the possible scenarios wi...

In this communication, a fractional order design and numerical form of the solutions are presented for numerical simulations of heterogeneous mosquito model. The use of the fractional order derivatives is exploited to observe more accurate and exhaustive performances of the numerical simulation of the model. The novel design of the fractional order heterogeneous mosquito differential system is analyzed with stochastic solver based on the internet of things (IoT) technologies, represented with four categories i.e., normal individuals, people with reflex behavior, panic behavior and controlled behavior based differential system. The solutions of the novel design of the fractional order system are presented by using the stochastic paradigm of artificial neural network (ANN) procedures along with the Scaled Conjugate Gradient (SCG), i.e., ANN-SCG, for learning of weights. In ANN-SCG implemen...

This paper presents a regression model for discrete time data with cure fraction. For this purpose, we considered a mixture model, in which times are modeled through the discrete Weibull distribution and the cure probability modeled with covariates by using the logit link function. Considering that the model is a mixture, the estimation of the parameters was performed by EM algorithm. The behavior of the estimating algorithm was tested with Monte Carlo simulation experiments and an application for real data was added.

The information that flows in the justice system, particularly in Peru, is not shared in real time due to the heterogeneity of its information systems and platforms, generating excessive delay in the judicial process. For this reason, they have been developing interoperability models for this sector for more than a decade, highlighting the European model e-CODEX that integrates fourteen countries with diverse and heterogeneous systems and platforms. However, these models generate information duplication and present difficulty in their implementation due to the legal regulations and standards required. Here, we propose an interoperability model based on data federation for the Peruvian justice sector, this will allow to have information in real time, distributed, without duplicity, transparent to the user and easy to implement for heterogeneous and inherited systems and platforms. The pro...
