This paper considers the proposal, development and numerical simulation of a system that models the behavior of the treatment of HIV-1 using antiretrovirals. The system defined for three dependent variables of the variable t, denoted by X(t)=(x1 (t), x2 (t), x3 (t)) represent the amount of T Lymphocytes "Helpers" (CD4), number of Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes (CD8) Viral load and infection process of HIV-1 at any time t, respectively. The assembly consists of a Nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equations system whose existential domain represents time system evaluation process of infection and viral clearance in a patient with HIV-1. This set of states of Nonlinear Dynamic System, associated with the initial value condition is called Cauchy problem. There are few studies related to the solution of this system, found some of the study are reduced to two variables and others without obtaining the ...

This article uses the weak formulation of the problems Partial Hyperbolic type (VPE) for construction noise maps with finite element and Newmark in two-dimensional space. To ensure the numerical simulation of the problem of propagation of the noise source, so that proves the existence and uniqueness of the variational problem in Sobolev spaces evolutionary and applied the finite element method and method Galerkin for spatial discretization and Newmark method for the time discretization. In this work, the innovative technique of preparation of the data base and computational experimentation whit Mathlab, finally obtaining effectively the solution as shown in the convergence of the numerical scheme.

Proper operation of the hardware and software of a SPECT Gamma Camera depends on its correct configuration and quality control. These are essential to obtain clinically valid images. In spite of the fact that these are recommended by the equipment manufacturer, these operations are not described in the manuals. The objective of the present work is to propose a unique method for the extrinsic quality control of any SPECT Gamma Camera manufactured to NEMA – IEC specifications. For this purpose, an automatic mixing module has been built to prepare uniform field phantoms, so as to carry out the quality control of the SPECT equipment. The module consists of an automatic mixer and a dummy (phantom). Thanks to the homogeneity of two‐ phase mixtures, we can obtain extrinsic correction maps which will serve to evaluate the quality of the equipment. This operation depends upon the homogeneity ...
