This work proposes a semi-automated analysis and modeling package for Machine Learning related problems. The library goal is to reduce the steps involved in a traditional data science roadmap. To do so, Sparkmach takes advantage of Machine Learning techniques to build base models for both classification and regression problems. These models include exploratory data analysis, data preprocessing, feature engineering and modeling. The project has its basis in Pymach, a similar library that faces those steps for small and medium-sized datasets (about ten millions of rows and a few columns). Sparkmach central labor is to scale Pymach to overcome big datasets by using Apache Spark distributed computing, a distributed engine for large-scale data processing, that tackle several data science related problems in a cluster environment. Process automation is being implemented in different disciplines of earth sciences, as seen in the implementation of libraries such as Pyrolite, PyGeochemCalc, dh2loop 1.0, NeuralHydrology, GeoPyToo among others. The present work addresses a methodology to automate the geochemical univariate analysis by using Python and open-source packages such as pandas, seaborn, matplotlib, statsmodels which will be integrated into a script in a local work environment such as Jupyter notebook or in an online environment such as Google Collaboratory. The script is designed to process any type of geochemical data, allowing to remove outliers, perform calculations and graphs of the elements and their respective geological domain. This dissertation investigates the potential improvement of volcanic eruption understanding and forecasting methods by using advanced data processing techniques to analyze large datasets at three target volcanoes (Piton de la Fournaise (PdlF) (France), Sabancaya, and Ubinas (Peru)). The central objective of this study is to search for possible empirical relationships between the pre-eruptive behavior of the accelerated increase in seismic activity using the Failure Forecast Method (FFM) and velocity variations measured by Coda Wave Interferometry (CWI), since both observations are reported to be independently associated with medium damage. The aims of the proposed research were to identify and document species, production and uses, describe processing procedures for drying, evaluate drying conditions and practices and apply Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles to identify the critical control points involved in drying processes. The study focused on cultivated species of capsicum in the areas around Chuquisaca, Bolivia and Lima, Peru under the guidance of local partners. Objective: To describe the nursing professional's experiences with patients in the process of agony, in the Internal Medicine services of men and women at the Las Mercedes Teaching Hospital. Method: Qualitative study, with a case study approach. Eight nurses participated with informed consent, the sample was non-pyrobalistic and was determined by the saturation and redundancy technique. In the data collection, the semi-structured interview validated by expert judgment was used and in the data process, content analysis was used, the atopic principles and scientific rigor supported the investigation. La degradación de los bosques tropicales afecta el sustento de las comunidades reduciendo la disponibilidad de recursos. Sin embargo, los factores causantes de degradación y el impacto que ésta ejerce sobre las comunidades permanecen poco entendidos. En la Amazonía Peruana, los frutos de la palmera Mauritia flexuosa son un importante recurso, no obstante, el aprovechamiento se realiza típicamente talando las palmeras en fructificación. M. flexuosa presenta individuos masculinos y femeninos, y la proporción de palmeras femeninas (PPF) en el bosque fue usado como indicador del nivel de degradación. Data colectada en 70 sitios, seis cuencas hidrográficas y 27 comunidades, mostró que la PPF varió ampliamente (0.03-0.52). The presence of Gigartina chamissoi (seaweed) in the formulation is important as a source of iodine, complex polysaccharides (fiber) and natural gelling agents which increase its biological value. New-generation sequencing technologies, among them SNP chips for massive genotyping, are useful for the effective management of genetic resources. To date, molecular studies in Peruvian cattle are still scarce. For the first time, the genetic diversity and population structure of a reproductive nucleus cattle herd of four commercial breeds from a Peruvian institution were determined. This nucleus comprises Brahman (N = 9), Braunvieh (N = 9), Gyr (N = 5), and Simmental (N = 15) breeds. Additionally, samples from a locally adapted creole cattle, the Arequipa Fighting Bull (AFB, N = 9), were incorporated. In the frame of a Swiss-Peruvian climate change adaptation initiative (PACC), operational and historical data series of more than 100 stations of the Peruvian Meteorological and Hydrological Service (SENAMHI) are now accessible in a dedicated data portal. The data portal allows for example the comparison of data series or the interpolation of spatial fields as well as download of data in various data formats. It is thus a valuable tool supporting the process of data homogenisation and generation of a regional baseline climatology for a sound development of adequate climate change adaptation measures. The procedure to homogenize air-temperature and precipitation data series near Cusco city is outlined and followed by an exemplary trend analysis. Local air temperature trends are found to be in line with global mean trends.
