Municipal employees have come under fire for poor performance and conduct in their work as some engage in corruption and others are not qualified enough to discharge their duties to the required levels. Employee training and development has become one of the key aspects in improving employee performance in organisations thus leading to improved organizational performance and growth. The study investigated the relationship between the quality of employee training and development on service delivery in a selected municipality with data collected from 150 employees. The results indicated the need for effective employee training and development systems and processes to achieve improved employee performance thus improved provision of basic services to the communities.

Gamification is the use of game elements to promote motivation, increase participation, and enhance the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study was to develop a methodological strategy based on gamification to reinforce the teaching and learning process of the English language at the upper basic level of the Charapotó Educational Unit. A methodology with a socio-critical approach, a mixed approach, and a descriptive research type with a non-experimental design were used. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is considered a neurodevelopmental disorder, whose prevalence has increased in recent years, showing in some cases deficits in the cognitive area, with processing speed (PS) being one of the affected variables. This study aims to describe how the implementation of the 5S methodology contributes to the development of a quality culture in regular basic education institutions in Peru. A qualitative, non-experimental, and descriptive research design was employed, using semi-structured interviews conducted with informed consent. The sample consisted of four educational institutions, selected to explore perceptions regarding the benefits of implementation. The findings revealed a lack of formal planning in the implementation process, which was typically initiated by a teacher or principal and carried out with trained student leaders. Reported benefits include improvements in the classroom environment, communication spaces, waste reduction, and student performance—factors that collectively foster a culture of quality.

The general intellectual abilities constitute the premises for the formation of professional abilities and competences; however, there are shortcomings in its implementation since basic education. This study was carried out with the objective of characterizing the development process of these skills in the students of the basic schools of Machala. The methodological strategy responded to the quantitative-qualitative paradigm, systematized through the methods of scientific observation, phenomenological, hermeneutic and statistical; the information collected through the application of the observation guide to 12 classes and the interview with 40 randomly selected teachers were summarized through tables and statistical figures. The findings allowed concluding that there are limitations in the intentionality of the development of general intellectual abilities.

In this research work, the analysis and selection of the optimal type of the Toma Grande Dam is applied by using the analytical hierarchical process (AHP), considering 4 dam alternatives (CFRD, RCC, Gravity Concrete, Earth and Enrocado). For the application of the method, the factors that influence the selection of the type of dam were identified, which were called Subcriteria. The evaluation from its multiple models starts from being an essential component in any teaching process. This article aimed to carry out a review on the state of the art of formative assessment with a view from its various strategies in regular basic education in students of regular basic education. El estudio tuvo por objetivo conocer la producción académica en el mundo sobre estudios que abordan la enseñanza de la modelación matemática de educación básica. La metodología se basó en el análisis de artículos seleccionados de fuentes extraídas de base de datos, referentes a modelación matemática y educación básica publicados entre 2020 y 2023. Los resultados muestran que la enseñanza de la modelación matemática en educación básica requiere ser atendida por docentes y autoridades en su enseñanza como elemento de importancia en el currículo para alcanzar las mejoras requeridas en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje en el aula. Objective: To determine the prenatal risk factors associated with the failure to comply with the basic vaccination scheme in children under 5 years of age, based on the Demographic and Family Health Survey (ENDES) of 2018. Materials and Methods: It is an observational, retrospective, analytical and transversal study. We study the sample of the National Demographic and Health Survey (ENDES) for 2018 that includes 18 104 children between 1 and 5 years with health card seen in the interview, finding the results in the INEI surveys.
