The aim of this study was to compare two antibiotic prophylaxis regimens with Clindamycin in patients under semi-retained third lower molar surgery. Third molar extractions were carried out in healthy patients who complied with the inclusion criteria, in the central clinic surgery service of San Marcos University dentistry faculty. After having performed the exodontia control appointments were programmed during 5 days post – extraction where the infection signs were evaluated through the presence or bleeding or exudates on the surgical bed. This registration was carried out for both groups. The obtained data was analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test (p <0.05). A significant difference was not found in the proportion of cases infected among the groups. The Odontogenic Peripheral Fibroma is the most frequent form of Odontogenic Fibromas and seems to come from the superficial gingival epithelium or dental lamina residuals that remain in an extra bone location. The epithelial component resembles the dental lamina during the early stages of the odontogenesis. Although it has predilection for children and young adults, it can be presented in any age. It is most often observed in women than men.

To carry out this investigation, eight patients 15 to 21 years old of Central Clinic of UNMSM Dentistry Faculty who had the indication for. first permanent molar extraction and at the same time had a third molar germ in eruption, were selected. The germ was at least in a Nolla development stage 7, 8 ó 9. Having the patient´s respective consent they underwent the autotransplantation of the germ to the socket of the first molar within the same quadrant. Cases were followed for a 12 weeks period.
