The objective of the present study is to investigate the possible relationship between personality styles and satisfaction by vital areas in students of psychology of a public University in Lima. Took a sample of 417 students, 182 men and 235 women, applied the scale of satisfaction by vital areas (SAV) and the exploratory personality questionnaire (CEPER III). Negative associations between the SAV scale and CEPER III personality styles were detected. But if there were multiple positive correlations, in the style Histrionic,narcissistic and obsessive compulsive with satisfaction in vital areas.

El objetivo del presente estudio es indagar la posible relación entre los estilos de personalidad y la satisfacción por áreas vitales en estudiantes de la carrera de Psicología de una universidad pública de Lima. Se tomó una muestra de 417 alumnos, 235 mujeres y 182 varones, se aplicó la escala de satisfacción por áreas vitales (SAV) y el cuestionario exploratorio de la personalidad (CEPER III). Se detectaron asociaciones negativas entre la escala SAV y los estilos de personalidad del CEPER III. Pero sí se detectaron múltiples correlaciones positivas, en el estilo histriónico, narcisista y obsesivo compulsivo con la satisfacción en áreas vitales.

The present study, of descriptive nature, non experimental and cross-sectional, describes the dimensions of personality, intelligence, motivation and also learning strategies in 553 students of the CEPRE-UNMSM using Eynseck Personality Inventory Form B, D-70 Test and MSLQ-SF Questionnaire. The results indicate that the freshmen 2013 San Marcos tend to sanguine, because the G factor of intelligence places them in the top category, they have moderate anxiety and use, to learn, mostly using cognitive and metacognitive strategy development in resource management strategy better manage self-regulation effort and value components are intrinsically oriented to your goals. The purpose is to identify the psychological profile of the students, this allows the formulation of programs to orientate and/or reorientate the academic tasks of pre-university students.

Investigation takes as reference the contributions from Cognitiva Psychologist on mental models, in the proposals of Johnson-Laird (1996), Moreira (1997) and Vergnaud (1996), as well as construction cognitive of the concept of university quality in its different dimensions and proposals. The investigation is exploratory, descriptive and comparative. The objectives of investigation are the following ones: 1. Identify and to characterize the mental models developed by the university students, 2. Determine the characteristics and attributes and to compare them in the five academics areas who organize the studies in Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. We have developed the analysis method of content, based in connotative meanings of quality, by selecting concepts accepted in technical approaches and representations made by the students.
