The objective of this study was the characterization of the learning strategies of higher education students of a university in Lima. To achieve this purpose, the focus is qualitative, which allows us to interpret the same practice of the students. The methodology of this research, included direct observation and in-depth interviewing, and was aimed at understanding the reasons for practice in certain strategies. The conclusion of the research is that the metacognitive strategies, the processing of information and the control of the context become the fundamental principles at the moment of learning by students.

El objetivo de este estudio fue caracterizar las estrategias de aprendizaje utilizadas por los estudiantes de educación superior de una universidad de Lima. Para lograr este propósito, el enfoque es cualitativo, el cual nos permite interpretar la praxis misma de los alumnos. La metodología de esta investigación incluyó la observación directa y la entrevista a profundidad, cuyo propósito fue comprender las razones de la puesta en práctica de determinadas estrategias. La conclusión de la investigación es que las estrategias metacognitivas, el procesamiento de la información y el control del contexto se convierten en las aristas fundamentales al momento de aprender por parte de los estudiantes.

Children, adolescents and young people at the family level are exposed to a variety of risk factors such as street drugs. One of them, smoking, must be reconciled from a legal approach to mitigate this situation within the family. The purpose of this paper is to describe the family influence on smoking and its consequences from the epidemiological, legal and social point of view. Family history of smoking has a significant influence on tobacco consumption.

Los niños y adolescentes se encuentran expuestos al nivel familiar, tienen una diversidad de factores de riesgo y entre ellas se encuentran las drogas porteras. El tabaquismo, desde un enfoque de derecho debe tenerse en cuenta para atenuar esta situación en el marco de la familia. Este trabajo tiene como propósito describir la influencia familiar ante el tabaquismo y las consecuencias que acarrea desde el marco epidemiológico, legal y social.

The advancement of technology in the worldcauses, among other aspects, the handling of important information, which can be considered as fundamental for the strategic interests of companies. The objective of the research was to analyze the influence of the application of ISO 27001 on the information security of a private company in Lima (Peru). Based on the application of a quantitative methodology, a pre-experimental study was used in which the influence of the application of ISO 27001 was determined. To this end, a sample of 30 employees of the company was considered. The quantitative conclusion shows that there is an influence of the application of ISO on information security and the dimensions of confidentiality, integrity and availability.

El avance de la tecnología en el mundo provoca, entre otros aspectos, el manejo de importante información la misma que puede considerarse como fundamental para los intereses estratégicos de las empresas. La investigación tuvo como objetivo el analizar la influencia de la aplicación del ISO 27001 en la seguridad de la información de una empresa privada de Lima (Perú). A partir de la aplicación de una metodología cuantitativa, se empleó un estudio pre experimental en el que se determinó la influencia de la aplicación del ISO 27001.Para ello se consideró a una muestra de 30 colaboradores de la empresa. La conclusión cuantitativa muestra que si existe una influencia de la aplicación del ISO en la seguridad de la información y en las dimensiones confidencialidad, integridad y disponibilidad.

The objective of this research study was to determine the influence of metacognition on the reading comprehension of students of a university in Lima (Peru). Methodologically, the hypothetical deductive method was used, with a quantitative approach and quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 62 students belonging to the specialty of education. The descriptive and inferential results demonstrated the influence of metacognition on the reading comprehension of the participating subjects. In all cases, the expected outcome was achieved, evidencing the effectiveness of the intervention carried out.

A intenção é obter o reconhecimento das pessoas discriminadas por meio de políticas públicas inclusivas. The current work began with the observation of the needs of high school students and their constant concern for the level of their development in communication skills according to the social standards of their context. Two instruments were used: The Sternberg (adapted) questionnaire (STAT), which evaluates the successful intelligence of students, where systematized quantitative information is collected as well as the teacher’s observation card to the student, for the qualitative information of the three categories of communication skills. The objective of the research was to determine the incidence of personal conditions on the cognitive distortions of persons deprived of liberty for crimes of violence against women via the hypothetical deductive method. The results showed the incidence of personal conditioning on the cognitive distortions of these individuals sanctioned for acts of violence against women. In conclusion, for the treatment of persons who have committed acts of violence against women in prisons, following investigations and the results of the studies carried out by the Ministry of Justice, the prison system must be adapted to the needs of the prison population.

The study aimed at establishing the incidence of teaching strategies on the reading comprehension of basic education students. Hence, an applied methodology of quasi-experimental design was developed, with the application of the Solomon model of four intact groups. Innovative teaching strategies were tested and their results were gathered in instruments such as assessment tests that were validated by communication experts, and were also analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics (Kruskal-Wallis), which proved that the use of these strategies improved significantly the expected learning outcome in text comprehension.

The present study shows the need to reflect on the sequences of cognitive processes of logical thinking in children with ADHD, andit also provides strategies to promote them. The research was carried out on a sample of 11 children with ADHD within the ages of 5 and 6, identified by the checklist of the DSM_IV in addition to the interview sessions with their teachers and classmates. Due to the characteristics described, the study is based on the qualitative approach of ethnographic design and documentary review. El presente estudio está dirigido a un análisis y sistematización de investigaciones sobre cómo se evidencia la educación antitabáquica desde una perspectiva de la percepción de riesgo, la cual influya en el rendimiento académico de estudiantes universitarios. Se expresan los resultados de estos conocimientos, habilidades y hábitos alcanzados por estudiantes consumidores y no consumidores de tabaco que se encuentran en primer año de Ciencias Médicas de la provincia de Villa Clara, Cuba. A partir de un grupo de dimensiones para su constatación, las mismas permiten identificar que este proceso educativo se debe continuar trabajando desde la ciencia para contribuir en la calidad de vida y el ejemplo social de los futuros profesionales de la salud.
