Children’s understanding of mental states and their temporal and spatial perspective-taking abilities change substantially during early childhood. It has been proposed that these abilities converge on common mechanisms based on self-projection. Also, remembering and prospection are thought to jointly support human capacity for mental time travel. This study explores the behavioral congruence of perspective-taking abilities by assessing episodic memory, episodic future thinking, theory of mind, and visual perspective-taking in 85 children aged four to six in Uruguay. We found no overall associations, except for theory of mind (false beliefs) and episodic future thinking. Results are discussed in the light of conceptual implications of the tasks, while we argue that enhancing equivalence in task design is essential for advancing future research.

The article aims to describe some optimization problems and their application in managerial and financial decision-making at organizations. This description is made from two approaches, first from the perspective of data analysis, where we see that these types of problems are in the stage of prescriptive analysis and, secondly, from a more formal or mathematical perspective where we see that they are part of the branch of analytical models. This type of analytical model can be proposed through three basic components: a target variable, decision or control variables and constraints. In this context, various application cases are reviewed and, finally, we will explain with a simple example, the use of the Solver function of Excel for the resolution of this type of problems through the simplex method.

This paper examines inequality in educational outcomes in Peru through a spatial approach. Cluster analysis and spatial statistics were applied for the years 2007 and 2016. The results, based on the selected educational indicators, show that the country’s departments are grouped into at least four clusters, with little variation over time. In other words, departments with strong or weak performance in both the quality and quantity of education tend to remain largely unchanged from one year to the next. Although the data reflect realities prior to the pandemic, the findings provide a useful foundation for future research on progress in reducing educational inequality. In this context, sectoral policy should be implemented in ways that promote vertical equity and prioritize the regionalized and decentralized allocation of resources.

The need to standardize TS evaluations is highlighted, since there are currently differences in the methods and recommendations used. In addition, the lack of trained human resources to carry out these evaluations is mentioned, as well as the long times they can take. The article develops the relationship between the concepts of territorial planning and urban planning in order to study the future perspectives of this field after the Urban Reform of 2021. Based on this, we consider the specific context of Lima where it has been approved the Metropolitan Development Plan to 2040 y the Urban Development Plans are in the making, so as to state how it is possible to concretize the main objectives of the Urban Reform of 2021 through a zoning regulation – the normative element of the urban plans. With that in mind, we set the structure of a proposal of zoning regulation, including the principles, approaches, guidelines and criteria for interpretation; the division of the territory; zoning and compatibilities; urban and building parameters; and land value capture instruments.

El criterio vigente para enfrentar situaciones indeseadas es tomar decisiones en base a conceptos y paradigmas predefinidos, con lo que se “resuelve” un aspecto del problema, pero se genera fallas en otros aspectos, que devienen en problemas aún más graves que el original. La resolución de problemas se maneja a nivel estratégico y se requiere un enfoque novedoso para enfrentar los problemas estratégicos. Para esto, se emplea una matriz para la resolución de problemas complejos, el cual se construye mediante dos ejes cartesianos que definen cuatro dimensiones y cuatro campos de análisis. Esta herramienta permite analizar conjuntamente, la perspectiva del decisor en relación a su circunstancia de decisión.

The shots were made in temperature castings production, measuring the temperature after excoriated and before emptying the holding furnace, the time was also recorded between the two jacks temperature. Issues of “good faith” in the performance of construction and engineering contracts are common. Moreover, “good faith” issues arise in most jurisdictions of the world, including common law and civil law jurisdictions. This paper considers the approach taken by English common law to the legal concept of “good faith”. It considers the consequences of English law not embracing “good faith” in commercial law in any general way, including in relation to construction and engineering contracts, and some of the doctrines developed by English law to ameliorate the potentially harsh consequences of a party exercising its contractual rights in an unfair manner. Consideration is also given to the New Engineering Contract and other forms of contract which expressly require parties to act in good faith.
