This paper presents an empirical investigation to evaluate the impact of purchase, storage and inventory management on the production costs of materials supply management in the Peruvian paper industry. A linear regression model was used under the ordinary least squares method to determine the causal relationship between the provisioning of materials and production costs. It was concluded that the evaluation of the effect between the study variables was inversely proportional, that is, as the management of purchase, storage, and inventory in companies improve, the production costs may also be reduced.

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the degree of influence exercised by the Key Account Manager in the provisioning management in the main companies called Staple in Peru, during the events of COVID-19. The research was of type quantitative, cross-sectional and temporal, with a non-experimental design, using a multiple linear regression model and correlation analysis to determine the impact that exists between the variables. The data belongs to the Industrias San Miguel company, distributed in a weekly period from June 2019 to March 2021, which gives 88 observations. The results allow us to conclude that the Key Account Manager is an important manager of the supply of goods during the crisis caused by COVID- 19 in staple companies.

The feasibility of co-disposal of tailing and clearance is been evaluated in Yauricocha Mine, for which one it is been studied the involved variables such as cut and compression resistance, permeability, density, particle size, chemical composition for tailing and clearance of the mine, leaching facility of minerals in both, influence of seismic acceleration in the stability of tailing and clearance’s slopes. It was found that the most stable mixture from a physical and chemical point of view is three of clearance to one of tailing (3C/1T). The safety factor calculated by the Bishop algorithm SLIDE, is above 1.1 in pseudo-static conditions. Using a unique governmental database from Peru, I find that electoral cycles significantly affect the hazard of renegotiation of transport infrastructure concession contracts. The effect of electoral cycles remains robust when applying a varied set of specifications. In addition, electoral cycles have positive marginal effects on the hazard of renegotiation of concession contracts between 3% and 6%. These results provide a perspective on the importance of enforcing institutional and regulatory supervisory activities of infrastructure concession contracts in order to minimize possible political influences on the contractual stability of these contracts.

Educational materials (textbooks in particular) are key for improving learning, especially in precarious school contexts. In the case of Peru, from 1990 on, the State has experimented with different models of educational material provision. In spite of their differences, they share a lack of impact in improving students’learning outcomes. The authors state that the problem stems from the absence of teacher training in how to use educational materials, which should be a core element of any model of educational material provision.

But these progresses have not been something free, but have had a price that would not be unreasonable to consider that, under certain prisms, has been excessive. This paper discusses the transition from the present single-department regions to a structure of multiple-department regions. It discusses the convenience of creating a pilot region and provides some criteria to create multi-department regions and choose the location of the regional capitals. It also provides guidelines to elect representatives to the Chamber of Deputies and the creation of a Senate. Finally, it outlines eight regions to be created by grouping several departments, and an alternative proposal to create regions based on river drainage basins.

La investigación analiza las prácticas de gobernanza comunitarias y estrategias de adaptación en asentamientos urbanos informales sin acceso a redes de agua y saneamiento. La investigación verificó si existe gestión de la información contable por medio de accruals discrecionales específicos en entidades de previsión complementaria, lo que podría ocurrir a partir de la decisión de registro contable de lasprovisiones contingentes con la intención de mejorar resultados divulgados en los estados financieros consolidados.
