Con el actual incremento en las construcciones, el empleo de concreto cada vez es más frecuente y con ello la búsqueda por su mejora, encontrando variedad de alternativas de incorporaciones para este. Por ello, se propone el uso de un absorbente de humedad, similar a la función de un polímero superabsorbente, denominado gel de sílice (G.S.); pretendiendo analizar su influencia en algunas propiedades de concreto con relación a/c de 0.555 y 0.6, incorporando porcentajes de 0.1%, 0.5% y 1% de este material en función al peso de cemento. En la investigación realizada se tiene como objeto de estudio la determinación de las propiedades físico-mecánicas del concreto permeable adicionando gel de aloe vera y escoria de acero en reemplazo parcial del cemento para pavimentos rígidos Lima 2023, la investigación es de tipo experimental, diseño cuasi-experimental y el enfoque cuantitativo para esto se desarrollaron diseños del concreto permeable con adición al 3, 5 y 7% de gel de aloe vera y al 4 y 8% de escoria de acero y luego obtener sus propiedades físico-mecánicas, a continuación se mencionan los resultados; en el aspecto de las propiedades físicas el diseño de mejores características fue el de 5% G.A.V. + 8% E.A., donde se obtuvo un asentamiento de 1/2” y una relación agua cemento de 0.56. El presente trabajo de investigación se enfocó en el aprovechamiento de harinas no tradicionales. Se elaboró piezas de pan a base de harina de arroz y un gel extraído del nostoc de aceptación sensorial para el consumo de la población con intolerancia al gluten. Se elaboró en el laboratorio de biotecnología de la Facultad de Ciencias Farmacéuticas y Bioquímica de la Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega. Es un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño experimental y de corte transversal. La muestra está representada por 195 piezas de pan tomadas al azar. Therefore the objective of the research is to know physicochemical properties of Bactris guineensis extract to formulate a dermocosmetic gel form and another in cream form and determine pre-stability with the extract. Physicochemical analysis of Bactris guineensis lyophilized aqueous extract were made, then the cream and gel formulations were produce and finally a pre-stability test consisting of centrifuge at 3000 rpm for 30 minutes was applied. Synthesis of TiO2 particles was made by sol-gel technique assisted of ultrasonic radiationfrom an alcoholic solution of titanium isopropoxide. Then was subjected to a heat treatmentin air at 350 °C for 1 h. X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy confirmedthat the size of the crystalline domains is between 10 and 37 nm. Infrared spectroscopy studyconfirms the presence of -OH groups on the surface of TiO2. Modification of the morphologyand surface area, due to the influence of exposure time to the ultrasonic radiation, is evidencedby studies of SEM and BET respectively. Properties of TiO2 obtained were studied bymonitoring the degradation of solutions of methyl orange in the presence of UV-A radiation.It was observed that larger the ultrasonic radiation exposure during the TiO2 synthesis largerthe constant velocity for the photocatalytic reaction for the methyl orange.

Objetivo: Determinar si el gel a base de cáscara de plátano bellaco Musa acuminata colla tiene propiedad cicatrizante en heridas superficiales en ratones albinos. Obtener el extracto de la cáscara de plátano bellaco Musa acuminata colla, identificar metabolitos secundarios y preparar el gel a base de cáscara de plátano inmaduro para tratar heridas superficiales en ratones albinos. Evaluar el efecto cicatrizante del gel a base de cáscara inmadura de plátano bello Musa acuminata colla en heridas superficiales en ratones albinos. Método: Tipo: La investigación fue Descriptiva–Aplicativa –Transversal –Prospectiva, con Nivel: Explicativo – Descriptivo, y de Diseño: Experimental, se realizó una marcha de solubilidad, y una marcha fitoquímica, se realizó la preparación del gel al 2%, 4% y 10%.

This study aimed to obtain, characterize and modify chemically by acetylation, starch of a commercial potato variety, Unique. Extraction was performed with water and chemical modification was performed by acetylation using acetic anhydride at different levels (% v/w starch): 5, 10 y 15%. Native starch and modified starch were characterized: proximate composition, clear gel, apparent viscosity and stability to the freeze, also the percentage of acetyl groups (GA) was measured. Texture and colour characteristics of six proportions of giant squid arm surimi / anchovy surimi (0/100, 20/80, 40/60, 50/50, 70/30, 100/0) were evaluated. The results showed that the texture characteristics of the gel and colour improved considerably for the mixture of surimi with 70/30, obtaining 522.2 g of hardness, 8.2 mm of elasticity, 429.5 g * cm of gel strength, and the values of L* and a* were 74.30 and -0.85, respectively. This result indicates that the 70/30 mixture of surimi with 70/30 is the best proportion to improve the texture and colour properties of the anchovy surimi gel. El gel de la planta del Aloe vera L. ha sido ampliamente estudiado por sus diversas propiedades, útiles para la elaboración de productos por la industria cosmética, de alimentos y médico-farmaceútica. La radiación gamma se utiliza con fines comerciales para tratar productos, incluyendo a aquellos que tienen en su formulación el gel de Aloe vera. Este estudio preliminar tiene como propósito descontaminar el gel de Aloe vera en estado natural, mediante radiación gamma y caracterizar el producto irradiado a diferentes dosis de radiación, mediante la realización de pruebas microbiológicas, físico-químicas y organolépticas. Las dosis de irradiación aplicadas fueron de 2, 3, 5, 8, 12 y 15 kGy. Si bien se logró la descontaminación del gel a la dosis de 8 kGy, se observaron algunos cambios en las propiedades físico-químicas y organolépticas de las muestras irradiadas.

The objective of this research was to determine the effect of sucrose percentage (10, 15 and 20%) and pH (3.4 and 3.5) on the rheological and textural characteristics of sweet potato starch (Ipomoea batatas L.) purple variety. It was determined that the starch gels of the different treatments T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 and T6 exhibited a non-Newtonian flow behavior of the general plastic type following the Herschel Bulkley model. The ANVA showed significant difference between the properties of the treatments (TS) evaluated for values of index of consistency 38.03±1.5 and 41.83±20.29 at pH 4.2; 38.93±5.8 and 47.99±9.15 at pH 5.2 and rheological index of 0.50±0.01 and 0.54±0.06 at pH 4.2; 0.49±0.01 and 0.52±0.01 at pH 5.2. In this work a systematic investigation on the effect synthesis of temperature_x000D_ (from 0 to 40°C) and ageing time on the size and width of the energy band gap of_x000D_ ZnO nanoparticles, which have been synthesized by a modified Sol-Gel method, is_x000D_ reported. The optical properties of ZnO nanoparticles have been evaluated by_x000D_ their UV-vis absorption spectra, from which the size and energy band gap were_x000D_ obtained. The average of nanoparticle size ranged from 2.06nm to 6.78nm as the_x000D_ temperature was increased from 0ºC to 40°C, while the band gap decreases from_x000D_ 3.99eV to 3.46eV, respectively. El presente trabajo se centra en un método de obtener ferrita de cobalto en forma de nanopartículas esféricas a través del proceso sol gel. Catalizadores a base de óxidos mixtos de Cu-Mn (proporción molar Cu/Mn de 0,33 a 3) fueron sintetizados por el método de combustión sol-gel para la eliminación de n-hexano, variando el reactivo de combustión entre ácido cítrico (CIT) y etilenglicol (EG), con el fin de estudiar su efecto sobre el catalizador utilizado en la combustión de n-hexano. Además, los óxidos simples de Cu y Mn se sintetizaron para poder compararlos. High-performance polymers (HPPs) play an important role in modern technology. Many efforts aim to develop cost-effective pathways to synthesize polymers without causing any harm to health and the environment. Polyimides (PIs) belong to the class of HPPs and they show outstanding features e.g. high-temperature stability, resistance to aggressive chemicals and radiation, as well as insulating properties. PI synthesis, however, present yet major challenges. We herein present an alternative approach to PIs of intriguing shape and of impressive size.
