This article presents a program design for instructing elementary students and their nuclear family about gender violence with the objective of giving them the opportunity to analyze their surrounding with a critical eye and to be able to recognize the distinctive signs of subliminal and explicit gender violence. Enabling students and parents to identify, recognize and peruse these signs aims to prevent violent acts carried out within the family and consequently to generate a multiplying effect in the Peruvian society context that suffers silently the effects of gender violence in all its forms from the mellowest and socially accepted to gender based murder or hate crimes. From the education stand point the proposal is to work on a concrete action plan expecting the school and family participation in order to strength their...

There is at present in Peru an important concern in the knowledge society to respond to the demands of the productive sector already that during these last decades the specialties in each college were introduced on the initiative of the teachers, without any study of the labor market or the needs of the different regions, nor of the contributions of the industrial engineers to secondary education directly or indirectly. Currently not enough to have manual skills, but a set of capabilities that graduates will enable them to solve problems and perform in different posts or create their own businesses. The current approach that gives the education for the job is not geared toward this.Throughout the development of the chapters you will find also the references on the requirements of the industry by people trained in certain skills and on the other hand will be able to appreciate the strong ...

The following research is based on the reality that postgraduate students of the institute of languages showed at Lambayeque University. It is also obvious that postgraduate students do not take the English course when they finish their master program because they do not have enough time and they live away from the city because of work. It has been seen when postgrade students took the English course, they were taught in a traditional way and teachers did not use the new methodologies that could be applied in order to improve participation, communication, motivation and students’ performance. The study was conducted to a sample of 30 students who are between 28 and 50 years old. I started the research process through the application of the pre-test to identify the learning level of the English language, then the didactic program “English for life” was applied in order to improve th...

Behavior-based safety programs are applied with the aim of reinforcing the level of safety at work, but if it is done by complying with a number of observations of safe behavior established in the goal of the month in the workplace, it generates in workers who only comply with safety while being observed or that observers report behaviors that they did not really see; consequently, accidents with workers continue and even worse with fatal cases, observers stop believing in the safety program they are using and management comes to believe that with a greater number of observations it is possible to correct unsafe behaviors; therefore, the results of the program are not achieved over time. This is a consequence of not having understood the principles of behavior-based security theory since the beginning of its implementation. In the present investigation, the behavior-based security theory...

Recent international evaluations regarding educational level have revealed that Peru is in the rankings of countries with the lowest performance in various subjects, including mathematics. The Polya method is presented as a solution to this serious situation, which assures that if its four steps are considered, better results will be obtained than the traditional method of teaching mathematics. This study narrates the application of a motivational program, in which the Polya method was applied in order to improve the solving of mathematical problem solving in the third grade of secondary school in educational institutions in Peru. The researchers identified two groups of students, one composed of 39 students in which mathematics was taught applying the traditional method (control group), and another group of students composed of 41 students in which this program was applied (experimental...

Introduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) currently considers obesity as the most important 21st century epidemics, affecting every population group, and, alarmingly enough, it is affecting boys and girls. There are no official numbers in Peru with respect to this situation, but some studies reported rates of being overweight and obese as high as 10,0% and 5,6%, respectively. Objective: To improve health conditions in overweight/obese students in Barrick-Pierina mining company school, with an educational intervention promoting health lifestyles, promoting the ingestion of a balanced diet and increased physical activity. At the end, changes were measured using the body mass index (BMI), and they were compared with the expected percentiles.Material and method: Design: A single sample intervention. The dependent variable (BMI) was longitudinally followed up between May...

We present Lakatos’s epistemological approach concerning scientific research programs regarding alpha beta method. We focus on Economic Science, for that we propose a set of auxiliary assumptions for expressing the lakatosian notions: hard core (as a finite set of some similar α propositions of some theories) and protective belt (propositions a); heuristics and auxiliary assumptions incorporated allow us to operationalize a scientific research program therefore can be empirically tested.

The effects of the implementation of a program based on the 5S methodology for the minimization of risks and accidents at work in an Electrical Services company (Lima - Peru) were evaluated. The study is of an applied type and of a pre-experimental design, the analysis unit covered 19 operational and administrative units of the company in question during the years 2022 and 2023. The data collection was carried out by the observation method, using checklists, records of inspections and accidents that were validated by the criteria of judges. The comparative analysis was carried out after verifying the normality of the data, determining the use of the Student's t test. The results show significant differences due to the implementation of 5S. Regarding risks, there was a significant reduction, due to the intervention of the independent variable: 5S methodology, since the average risk of the...
