Electrodes for Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSCs) were made using ZnO nanoparticles deposited over conductive substrates of SnO2:F (FTO). ZnO nanoparticles were obtained by the wet ball milling technique. Then these particles were used to make a viscous paste which was deposited over the substrate by the dr. lade method. After sintering, the electrodes were sensitized with organic and metalorganic dyes like D35 and N719 respectively during 14 hours. Liquid electrolytes with redox mediators like iodide/ triiodide redox cuple and cobalt complexes were used. Also platinum and polymer (PEDOT) covers were used like counterelectrodes. Sealed cells reported efficiencies values as high as 1.6% and values for incident photo conversion efficiency (IPCE) close to 60% at 500nm.

Petroselinum crispum (Mill) Fuss is an aromatic herb that contains various phytochemical compounds in its aerial parts, among which polyphenols stand out; likewise, it is attributed antioxidant property. The objective was to evaluate the content of phenolic compounds, the antioxidant activity of the hydroalcoholic extract of Petroselinum crispum (Mill) Fuss and the preparation of a dermocosmetic cream. The determination of polyphenols was carried out applying the in vitro method of Folin Ciocalteu and; the uptake of free radicals, by the DPPH• and ABTS•+ methods. The hydroalcoholic extract obtained a yield of 3.94 % and through a phytochemical screening the presence of phenolic compounds, flavonoids, terpenes, lactones and anthraquinones was confirmed. There is a growing call for inventories that evaluate geographic patterns in diversity of plant genetic resources maintained on farm and in species' natural populations in order to enhance their use and conservation. Such evaluations are relevant for useful tropical and subtropical tree species, as many of these species are still undomesticated, or in incipient stages of domestication and local populations can offer yet-unknown traits of high value to further domestication. The study describes the procedure of grafting mango, avocado and apple, for its diffusion into 44 and 43 homegardens from Pan de Azúcar annexed, and Pucabamba annexed respectively, both located at Huayo district of Pataz, La Libertad. The pre-concentrate of Au-Cu from a gravimetric concentrator FALCON was subjected to different treatment processes in order to separately extract the copper and then the gold, without having success; after some attempts, it was achieved to recover the gold from the correlation of the milling capability and cyanidation, recovering very encouraging tenors through the application of models of milling batch proposed by Magne, Austin and Concha, and for the cyanidation, it was applied the Kinetic Nucleus Recessive Model with the following offered configuration: 1 -2α/3 – (1-α)2/3= 3.30*10-10(0.015 + 0.0006TM) *(TM)5.5124*t The concentrate sample with around 10 Oz. of gold per ton and 2.50% of copper, tested in a milling to 96% - 200 nets and leached with 0.4% of cyanide for 70 hours obtained recoveries higher than 95%, with an average consumption of 46 Kg. of cyanide per ton of mineral.

La presente investigación tiene el objetivo de determinar el efecto que tiene la aplicación de harina de hueso de pollo obtenida de residuos sólidos en el desarrollo de la biomasa del “tomate” (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill). The effluents generated in the paper industry, such as black liquor, have a high content of lignin and other toxic components; however, they represent a source of lignin-degrading bacteria with biotechnological potential. Therefore, the present study aimed to isolate and identify lignin-degrading bacteria species in paper mill sludge. A primary isolation was carried out from samples of sludge present in environments around a paper company located in the province of Ascope (Peru). Bacteria selection was made by the degradation of Lignin Kraft as the only carbon source in a solid medium. La presente investigación estudia el pensamiento de John Stuart Mill y su posición alrededor de la justificación del paternalismo, tomando en consideración el principio de daño elaborado en su obra “Sobre la libertad”. Dos son los objetivos de este trabajo. En primer lugar, se analizarán las tesis anti-paternalistas sostenidas por este autor para identificar sus deficiencias y limitaciones. En segundo lugar, se busca determinar hasta qué punto dichas tesis realmente se opusieron a dichas intervenciones, para verificar la exactitud de aquella creencia algo extendida que considera a Mill como un fuerte opositor del paternalismo. Se evaluó el efecto de la aplicación de las coberturas biodegradables y temperatura sobre el color, firmeza, pérdida de peso y la aceptabilidad general en la palta (Persea americana Mill) variedad Fuerte, durante 30 días de almacenamiento. Se estudió la gelatina-almidón y gel aloe vera como base de las coberturas, además se utilizó una muestra control (sin cobertura) y; 6 y 10 °C como temperaturas de almacenamiento. La superficie de las paltas fue lavada y desinfectada durante 1 min con hipoclorito de sodio a 150 ppm y secadas posteriormente. Las paltas secas fueron sumergidas en cada una de las soluciones de cobertura y secadas con aire, para la formación de las coberturas biodegradables.
