Mental health is one of the main problems of the 21st century worldwide and in Peru, also affecting the education sector. It is estimated that 40.6% of teachers suffer from chronic work-related stress, depression, anxiety and neurological problems, a situation that is exacerbated by the fact that the majority of Peruvian teachers are over 50 years of age. This situation highlights a high psychosocial risk and the need for relevant socio-emotional assessment tools that are adapted to the reality of Peruvian teachers. In this context, the objective of this research was to construct and validate the Adult Emotional Development Questionnaire (CDE-A19), aimed at emotional management in teachers at public educational institutions in UGEL 04 – Comas. The study was conducted with a sample of 167 teachers, aged between 28 and 64, from institutions in the districts of Comas (52.6%) and Carabayll...

The objective of this study was to analyze the role of emotional competencies in higher education, evaluating their impact on holistic development, academic success, and the mental health of the community. A descriptive systematic review was conducted using a selective search of high-impact databases, primarily Scopus. We focused on articles with practical findings on the interaction between emotional management, mental health, and the effectiveness of educational stakeholders, excluding purely theoretical ones. The results indicate that these skills have evolved from complementary resources to determinants of educational quality. They act as protective factors against stress and foster institutional commitment. The study concludes that integrating these competencies into the curriculu...

This article aimed to study the relationship between emotional self-regulation and free pedagogies. To do this, an extensive literature review was presented and a critical theoretical debate was raised about the limits of traditional education and its negative impact on children's mental health. The results show that, on the one hand, emotional self-regulation is a good predictor and protective factor against psychopathologies, and, on the other hand, that alternative education shows clinically significant impacts on the development of emotional self-regulation and, consequently, higher rates of satisfaction with life, proactive behaviors and fewer antisocial behaviors. In addition, traditional education shows a low level of socio-affective development in childhood.
