The tumor necrosis factor (TNF) is an important mediator of the inflammatory reactions; it seems to play a central roll in the pathogenesis of several chronic inflammatory diseases including the periodontitis. It has been demonstrated that different rates exist from TNF alpha in vitro and in vivo between the individuals, so it can be associated with the presence of certain genetic polymorphism. The purpose of this investigation is to study the degree of polymorphism of the gene TNF-alpha (-308G/A) in samples of adult Peruvian patients and analyze the relationship with periodontal processes. For the study 81 blood samples with anticoagulant EDTA of people between 25 and 52 years were collected (47,5 average ± 7,4). 11 of them were people who had severe periodontal processes (average 35,2 ± 2,3). There was a greater frequency of genotype GG (G alele for the gene TNF-alpha-308) of the 82,...

It was observed that empathy predicts prosocial behaviour in children and that empathic people are less aggressive due to their emotional sensitivity and capacity to understand the potential negative consequences for themselves and others that can arise from aggression. For this reason, empathy appears negatively related to aggression and positively related to prosocial behaviour. Empathy includes cognitive processes and affective experiences, and it means at the same time a predominantly cognitive answer of understanding about other person feelings and an emotional communion. Davis (1983) defines empathy as a multidimensional construct. His scale includes cognitive components: Perspective Taking and Fantasy, and emotional components: Empathic Concern and Personal Distress. We will present the Argentine adaptation of The Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) of Davis (1980) that has 28 it...

This paperpresents aresearch carried out on the achievement of competenciesduring the learning process in times of COVID-19 in Peruvian Basic Education, which has gone from a face-to-face modality to another ofdistancelearning. For the variable achievement of competencies, four dimensions have been considered: cognitive, communicative, social and ethical. It was developed within the quantitative approach, its level was descriptive explanatory, of non-experimental design, transactional exploratory, applying a survey to 212 teachers of an educational network in Metropolitan Lima. The objective was to analyze the predominant factor that hinders the achievement of the prioritized competencies. Applying the logistic regression, from the teachers' perspective, it was possible to determine that the feedback (0.589) and the portfolio evaluation (0.694) are factors that hinderthe achievement of co...

This paper examines how implementing an Engineering Processes Laboratory (extrinsic factors) led to the non-dissatisfaction of Industrial Engineering students with the quality of teaching in said course. The study used the factor 10-SINEACE (National System of Evaluation, Accreditation and Certification of Educational Quality) and Herzberg’s theory to measure this impact. This measurement was performed on a representative sample of students of the Engineering Processes course through a laboratory test. Data was collected on the laboratory equipment requirements and students’ needs and was then analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U statistical test. The results showed that the teaching quality was “not dissatisfactory”, providing statistical evidence of the positive impact of the Engineering Process Laboratory.

The vertiginous growth in the number of universities in our country has raised certain doubts about the quality of the university teaching process. Government agencies have set the standards for the accreditation of university studies, which cannot be improved if we do not know what students perceive. This study proposes the 6 Qs model to know the dimensions of student satisfaction and finds that there is a relationship of approximately 10% with academic performance, clearly establishing its multidimensional character, and that Research and basic infrastructure are the most dissatisfied indicators and need to be improved as a priority.

The location of an industrial plant, is the process of choosing a geographical location to perform the operations of a company. To determine the best location, you must perform an assessment of the factors affecting the selection. Two groups of factors are considered: Quantitative, which are easy to quantify and Qualitative that are less tangible, hard to quantify, evaluation of the latter depends on the judgment of the analyst, keeping a tinge of subjectivity, making no model used to ensure that the venue is optimal. To optimize the classification of factors, it is proposed to use the model of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with a proper rating scale, which ensures consistency of it and allows the use of a software (Expert Choice). This study presents and demonstrates the contribution of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in the task of optimizing the location of an industrial plant...

We try to compare two theoretical-methodological approaches in order to identify factors that explain the dependent variables: evaluation stress and coping styles to this stress. On one side, Self theorists assume as independent variable of the evaluation stress the trait anxiety toward evaluation, and as independent variables of the coping stress styles the personal orientation (locus of control internal-external), and the cognitive style (dependence-independence of field). On the other side, theorists of behavior as process consider as independent variables of the first the cognitive evaluation of the exam and for the seconds tire stages of stress process (pre and post exam stages), The sample was 236 adolescents, of both genders, students of a pre-university academy, held by an university for direct acceptance, aged 16 to 18 years, selected by non probabilistic intentional sampling. El continuous growth of the construction industry is directly linked to significant environmental impacts. According to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in 2020, the operation and construction of buildings contribute to 38% of all carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions related to energy. UNEP emphasize the need for a three-fold strategy to address this issue: aggressively reduce energy demand in built areas, decarbonize the energy sector, and implement material strategies that reduce carbon emissions throughout the lifecycle of products. To quantify the Carbon Footprint, an approach called Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is used, which involves assessing the impact on climate change by considering the entire value chain of a product or service, including inputs and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. To evaluate the sustainability of a formwork, it is necessary to evaluate the carbon foot...
