It was investigated, in students of the third grade of elementary school of Metropolitan Lima and Piura, if there were significant differences in the development of cognitive processes involved in reading and writing, considering the variables of gender, socioeconomic status, school management and town of residence. To gather data, it was adapted previously a Battery of Cognitive Assessment for Reading and Writing, establishing its reliability and validity. The results indicated differences in the cognitive processes examined in view of the variables, socioeconomic status, management of the school and town of residence.

This research seeks to promote the development of reading comprehension through the application of metacognitive strategies, as well as to publicize the importance of metacognition processes at different reading levels and the usefulness of designing teaching units that meet specific learning needs. For this, a qualitative - descriptive study was carried out with students in the third and fourth grades of primary school, in which the data obtained from the application of a didactic unit were analyzed, which included questionnaires in which the use was encouraged of metacognitive strategies (previous knowledge, prediction and verification and summary). This dissertation investigates the potential improvement of volcanic eruption understanding and forecasting methods by using advanced data processing techniques to analyze large datasets at three target volcanoes (Piton de la Fournaise (PdlF) (France), Sabancaya, and Ubinas (Peru)). The central objective of this study is to search for possible empirical relationships between the pre-eruptive behavior of the accelerated increase in seismic activity using the Failure Forecast Method (FFM) and velocity variations measured by Coda Wave Interferometry (CWI), since both observations are reported to be independently associated with medium damage. The main aim of this exploratory and pre-experimental study is to establish the variations in the distribution of visual attention of translators in training during a reading task with Specialized Extensive Nominal Phrases (hereinafter SNEE). To achieve this goal, a case study was conducted with four translators in training who had to read 10 contexts of a Human Genome corpus that contains SNEE of three and five tokens. Data collection was performed through the eye movement technique and a Likert scale-type questionnaire. The results of this study showed that the distribution of the visual attention of the translators in training presented variations according to the length of the SNEE. Research on graphic organizers and reading comprehension has taken up new reins in the knowledge about the reader's mental processes, but it has been avoided to understand the levels in the reading process. The importance of organizers often focuses on the power they demonstrate to allow the reader to analyze and map ideas, especially concept maps and mind maps. In this study, we propose to determine the effects of graphic organizers on text comprehension at the school stage. The study is quantitative of quasi-experimental design. Objective. To determine the influence of digital tools on the development of reading comprehension in students of the second grade of secondary level, of the Ramón Castilla School of the district of Chuschi, in the remote education modality, 2020. Methods. The research was developed from the quantitative, explanatory type and experimental design in its quasi-experimental aspect. The sample, extracted from an intentional non-probabilistic sample, was made up of 32 students from sections A and B. The instrument used to collect the data consisted of a standardized test. Background: the existence of specific effects of emotion on text comprehension in adults has been experimentally verified. However, there is no information regarding adolescents, which is relevant for the design of interventions. Objective: this research study aims to assess whether dimensionallyconceptualized emotional states (valence, arousal and dominance) affect the comprehension and retrieval of written texts in adolescents. Method: following instrument validation, three experiments (n = 468) were performed. The article evidences the implementation of a mobile application to manage information on the consumption of vital liquids in the homes that make up the administrative board of drinking water of the Santa Fe parish. Despite the growing literature on bank efficiency worldwide over the last decade, researchers have neglected the Peruvian banking sector. In this paper, the technique of data envelopment analysis (DEA) is used to investigate the efficiency of Peruvian banks for the period 2000 to 2009 to benchmark currently existing banks based on their super-efficiency scores over time. Further, an in-depth analysis of currently existing banks for the period 2008 to 2009 is conducted to check the robustness of DEA efficiency scores and the potential improvement of inputs and outputs for inefficient banks, indicating by how much and in what areas inefficient banks need to improve in order to be efficient.
