The population and sample comprised the 57 employees of Seda Huánuco, to whom a survey technique was applied, using a questionnaire as the instrument. To determine the results and test the formulated hypotheses, descriptive statistics were applied for frequency tables and graphs, as well as inferential statistics, where the correlation index was interpreted. Results: The results showed that competency-based management is significantly related to job performance. This is inferred from the level of significance obtained in inferential analysis or hypothesis testing, which was p = 0,000 < 0,0...

The current dynamics of organizations has evidenced the need for professionals who are trained to work in complex environments, cooperate in multidisciplinary teams, accept assignments beyond their competencies and operational duties, and project strategies that help them reach their objectives. The aim of this article is to review the way in which management has moved from deeply focusing on tasks, organization, work teams, environment and technology to emphasizing competitiveness. Similarly, it has moved from focusing on operations-level work relationships, the formal and informal organization, management functions and styles, open systems, and environmental and technological analysis to organizational learning and intellectual capital. “The objective of the research was to evaluate the consistency of different training proposals, proposing as a reference a competency-based curriculum planning model. Qualitative methodology was used from an interpretive paradigm, making use of inductive and deductive analysis at the same time. Inductively, observations were generated through documentary analysis, interviews with experts, and a focus group with university professors, who then deductively derived interpretations and forecasts regarding curricular planning. As a result, it was obtained that the designed model, based on the triangulation of the information collected, allowed evaluating and determining the strengths and weaknesses of the priority elements of the university curriculum: the graduation profile, the study plan and the evaluation system. The main conclusion was that it is necessary to have clear parameters for ...

The objective of this research study was to determine the relationship between the motivation of achievement and the resolution of problems with linear functions of the students of Foundations of Calculus for the afternoon course of the Faculty of Business at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, 2017. This study was developed within a quantitative approach, with a hypothetical deductive method and non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 76 students of Foundations of Calculus from the Faculty of Business of the aforementioned university. The results show that there is no direct and significant relationship between the motivation of achievement and the resolution of problems with linear functions of the students surveyed. This further showed that the competency to solve problems does not depend on motivation, but rather requires knowledge and skills that are put into pract...

Intelligence is a construct of notable impact in our sociocultural context, related to a wide range of conceptual and operational definitions which originate positions that highlights cognitive and abstract elements and emotional and social skills, as well was perspectives that are focused on processes underlying the intelligent performance, such as in the case of executive functions (EFs), which are configured as cognitive processes that make it possible the self-regulation (Miyake & Friedman, 2012). Similarly, there are approaches that give intelligence a relevant and predictive role of school performance, an aspect strengthened by the psychometric perspective, where the concept of intelligence has been closely linked to learning. In this line, we also find the classical perspective of crystallized Intelligence of Cattell (1943), which refers to the knowledge acquired through educa...

Early mathematical competencies have a great impact on academic performance and on the development of more complex mathematical skills, especially in early education. Several authors have highlighted the importance of working memory and inhibition in the development of these mathematical skills; however, there is no agreement regarding the explanatory capacity of these executive domains with respect to differentiated performance in mathematics. The aim of this research was to evaluate the predictive capacity of verbal and visuospatial working memory and of behavioral and cognitive inhibition in mathematical competencies of relational logic and numerical type in 106 Chilean children of early education between 4 and 6 years old, who were evaluated with four executive tasks and an early mathematical assessment test. For data analysis, correlations and multiple linear regressions were perfor...

Statistical competence is defined as the leader’s feature of character, which characterizes his willingness and ability to organize, to process and interpret information, needed to implement management processes. Statistical competence should be considered as a substructure of functional competence of the leader as it is shown in the article. The evaluation of indicators for the basic level of statistical competence for different categories of principles of educational institutions was carried out. It is shown that for managers with humanitarian and historical and science education the probability of distortion is not less than 20%. In addition, the criterion of signs justifies the lack of effect of improving test results on the basics of mathematical and statistical literacy in the transition from a group of leaders with humanitarian, scientific and natural education. At the same time...
