The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the educational program “How important it is to pay taxes!” oriented to develop knowledge and favorable attitudes about tax culture in high school students of a private educational institution of Juliaca. The research is framed in a quasi-experimental design with pre and post intervention evaluation, in which the participants were divided into two groups: experimental (GE = 30) and control (GC = 30). In this case, it was the GE who received a total of 10 educational sessions distributed in 3 modules: knowledge, perception and attitudes. To determine the effectiveness of the program, a questionnaire was applied that measured the tax culture used in a similar investigation and validated by experts in financial education. Objective: To identify the competencies declared in the graduate profiles of Dentistry and Stomatology programs in Peru. Materials and methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional, observational study was conducted. The study population comprised Dentistry and Stomatology programs listed in TUNI, the official platform of the National Superintendency of Higher University Education (SUNEDU). Programs with no publicly available graduate profile information on their institutional websites were excluded. Competencies were extracted, categorized, and systematized based on reference frameworks from the Peruvian Dental Association and the Ministry of Health. El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la efectividad de un Programa Integral de Educación Sexual sobre la Prevención de Infecciones de Transmisión Sexual, en los alumnos del primer ciclo de la Universidad Privada del Norte sede Lima Norte. Respecto a los aspectos metodológicos del trabajo, el tipo de investigación fue el explicativo y el nivel aplicado. La población estuvo conformada por los 2300 alumnos del primer ciclo de la Universidad Privada del Norte, Sede Lima Norte. Method: This research is quantitative, longitudinal, non-experimental, with a descriptive and correlational scope. The study is based on a census and the analyzed population is made up of 15710 first-year students from a private Peruvian university. Statistics, such as Chi Square, were used to determine the association or independence of two quantitative variables with a 5% degree of significance. Este estudio tiene como objetivo evaluar la relación entre la asistencia de la escuela privada y asignación de tiempo del estudiante en actividades educativas fuera de la escuela. En este sentido, nuestro análisis se centra en las inversiones de aprendizaje de los estudiantes a lo largo de su educación. Modelamos las decisiones de consumo de los padres y la elección de la escuela privada para predecir una relación positiva entre las inversiones educativas de los niños en el hogar y el bienestar de los padres. There is scholarly consensus that the involvement of fathers in preschool education optimizes child-adolescent development. However, in practice, fathers’ participation is low compared to that of mothers. This article presents the results of a qualitative study aimed to exploring the perceptions of fathers with children who attend private educational centers in Chile about the conditions that encourage or discourage them from participating in their children’s activities at school. Semi structured interviews were held with fathers of children who attend 8 preschools. RESUMEN El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó con el objetivo de definir la influencia de una aplicación web en el proceso de medición de resultados del estudiante del programa de Ingeniería de Sistemas Computacionales de la Universidad Privada del Norte en el año 2019. El tipo de estudio fue preexperimental; con una muestra constituida por los procesos de medición de resultados del estudiante ejecutados en los semestres 2018-2 y 2019-1. Los subprocesos que conforman el proceso de medición de resultados del estudiante son: medición docentes, medición egresados, medición empleadores de prácticas preprofesionales y elaboración de informes de medición. Este estudio tiene como objetivo identificar y analizar las brechas en el desarrollo cognitivo y socioemocional entre los niños de escuelas públicas y privadas en las zonas urbanas del Perú. Se utilizan datos del estudio Young Lives (YL) y tiene un diseño de métodos mixtos. En el análisis cuantitativo, aplicamos un enfoque de Propensity Score Matching (PSM) para comparar los resultados cognitivos y socioemocionales entre niños de escuelas públicas y privadas. En el análisis cualitativo, exploramos si las diferencias cognitivas y socioemocionales y el desarrollo podría reflejarse en las diferentes experiencias escolares de los niños.
