Influence of subsurface flow recharge in fractured massifs - Case: Landslide 1 - Huancavelica - Peru

Landslides in southern Peru are primarily caused by water saturation due to precipitation. Detailed geotechnical studies have identified parameters of soil layers, such as peat bog, gravel with fine sand, colluvial deposits, weathered slate, and fractured bedrock. These elements generate seepage and compromise slope stability. This research proposes the installation of horizontal drains along the slope to capture the seepage flow, using Slide 6.0 software and finite difference modeling technique. Different scenarios, both static and seismic, were conducted to evaluate the factor of safety. The results revealed that without drain installation, the factor of safety was 1.34 in the static scenario and 0.95 in the seismic scenario. However, by implementing the drains, stability significantly improved, with a factor of safety of 1.512 in the static scenario and 1.209 in the seismic scenario. ...

El objetivo de esta investigación fue desarrollar una metodología que permita la creación de bases de datos multidimensionales. Para recopilar los datos de esta investigación se creó una Base de Datos Ventas, que a su vez fue la entrada para la creación del Datawarehouse DwhVentas. El método usado fue el inductivo. Se analizó el proceso de ventas, para lo cual se creó la tabla de hechos: factVentas, y se eligió como métrica: el importe de las ventas. También se diseñó varias tablas de dimensiones, que permitieron evaluar el proceso de ventas por diferentes vistas. The use of machine learning algorithms in the field of nutritional health is a topic that has been developed in recent years for the early diagnosis of diseases or the recommendation of better nutritional habits. People with poor diets are more prone to chronic diseases and, in the long term, this can lead to dead. This study proposes a model for the recommendation of nutritional plans using the decision tree technique considering the patient data, in complement with the BMI (Body Mass Index) and BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) to evaluate and recommend the best nutritional plan for the patient. This study was performed in an agro-industrial milling company with the aim of reducing operative costs over the production and manteinance areas. The company's data was obtained through an interview and documentary analysis. Initial diagnosis was made using the following methods: SWOT analysis, Porter's five forces, PESTLE analysis, IFE and EFE Matrix, Ishikawa diagram and Pareto chart. An improvement plan was designed including tools related to Production Management and Manteinance Management: Demand Forecasting, MRP, Preventing Manteinance Plan, Transport network optimization, SRM and Process Standarizing. This article presents the results of a comparative analysis of the Press coverage of natural disasters in the world by Spanish newspapers during the years 2009 and 2010 and some prominent indicators of social interest in the Internet. This research analyzes the distribution of a poultry plant, with defined processes and established areas. However, it has been proven that the poultry production process can optimize its processes by redistribu ting it, applying the SLP (Systematic Layout Plan- ning) methodology. In addition, the purpose is to take the process to a second level of improvement with process automation. Initially, the plant plans were analyzing in detail, these allowed us to visualize which areas should be improved. This paper describes the image of hotels transmitted by customers on the social network TripAdvisor.es. It is a case study that breaks down and interprets the analysis of a set of comments in the Spanish language to 20 hotels in Machu Picchu (Peru). Moreover, we did a descriptive analysis, based on the inference of qualitative and quantitative data, to 177 comments of the aforementioned social network, distributed by the first 20 hotels listed in order of classification of the traveler, between the months October to December 2019. The comments were analyzed through a table composed of 14 categories and we observed that positive commentaries prevail in all categories, and that the experiences most appreciated by travelers and described in our sample were “Service”, “Food”, and “Location”.

The study aimed to explore the psychometric properties of research competency scales published in the scientific literature in seven databases: Scopus, Web Of Science, ERIC, Embase, EBSCO, PubMed and SciELO between 2014 and June 2023. Thirteen papers were systematized, where 11 scales were found that measured content validity using indexes such as the S-CVI, Aiken's V and item-test correlations. Similarly, the results of the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) presented adequate fit indices such as CFI, GFI, TLI, SRMR and RMSEA, which validated the factor structure. Reliability was mostly evaluated through Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, yielding high and consistent values. ABSTRACT Due to the pandemic caused by the COVID-19, we are forced to maintain a social distance, relying on technology such as the use of robots for both commercial and educational activities. This document is a systematic review of scientific literature using Prism methodology and aims to determine the best characteristics for the development of educational robots in children on infectious disease care. We obtained 50 articles associated to the research topic collected from databases such as IEEE Xplore, Scielo, Scopus and WoS. The results were synthesized in different tables and graphs separated in approaches of: robotics in education, robotics in relation to humans, education in diseases, robotics in health and digital applications in education, where the first one is the most treated in the articles found.

The performance of discrete element method (DEM) simulations is highly dependent on the requirements of the associated algorithms in terms of computer memory usage and CPU time. In particular, computer CPU time heavily depends on the identification of neighbor particles and the computation of particle-particle interactions. Identificar los factores de riesgo de infección cervicouterina por VPH en mujeres atendidas en el Hospital de especialidades básicas La Noria. Material y Métodos: Estudio observacional analítico de diseño “Casos y Controles” sin emparejamiento con una relación caso-control de 1:2. El cual incluyó a 168 mujeres distribuidas en 48 casos y 120 controles, atendidas en el Hospital de Especialidades Básicas La Noria, durante el periodo 2019-2020, para un calculó de OR para cada factor mediante análisis de contingencia en tablas 2xN. Mining concessions are subject to the fulfillment of liabilities by their owners based on ground for revocation, known as «expiration», as part of mining rights systems. The recent evolution of these liabilities and their focus as part of the conditions offered by the country for investment are analyzed by the author. To do this, the author conduct a review about the changes taken place in 1991 and 2008 mainly, as well as provides the elements to analyze the appropriateness of modifications or its flexibility. The tables used in the explanation constitutes a contribution, which were used by the author in conferences and due diligence for mining projects, as well as the consideration of both elements in the analysis of doctrine and real application of these concepts under the system of Peru.

Las concesiones mineras están sujetas al cumplimiento de obligaciones por sus titulares, bajo causal de revocación, conocida como la «caducidad», enmarcadas en sistemas de amparo minero. La evolución reciente de estas obligaciones, así como enfocarlas como parte de las condiciones que ofrece el país para la inversión, son analizados por el autor. Para ello, realiza una revisión de las modificaciones ocurridas en 1991 y 2008 principalmente, así también proporciona los elementos para reflexionar sobre la conveniencia de nuevas modificaciones o de su flexibilización. Constituyen un aporte los cuadros empleados en la explicación, utilizados por el autor tanto en conferencias, como en due diligence en proyectos mineros; así como considerar en el análisis tanto elementos de doctrina, como de aplicación real deestos conceptos en el régimen del Perú.
