The article's objective was the implementation of the lean manufacturing methodology in the production process of an air conditioning metal processing plant. For this, the methodology of 2 phases was used. The company and its current operation, structure, products, and work plan are presented in the first phase, demonstrating its main deficiencies. In phase 2, an improvement plan was made with lean manufacturing tools applied to the deficit of phase 1. As a result of the implementation of these tools, 64%, 80%, 71% and 50% of space in the measuring, cutting, bending, and welding stations, respectively, and an improvement in production times were obtained. Based on the study results, it is concluded that the application of lean manufacturing benefited the company by drastically improving its production process and work environment.

El escenario actual y futuro para el sector construcción no es alentador. Es por ello, que las empresas deben buscar herramientas que permitan una mejor eficiencia en sus actividades. Es por ello la importancia del presente trabajo, dado que puedo servir de ejemplo para empresas similares. La aplicación de la metodología de Gestión por Procesos ha demostrado su eficacia en distintos tipos empresa. Para este caso de estudio, no fue la excepción. Antes de la implementación se demostró que la empresa no conseguía la rentabilidad esperada en sus proyectos. Se utilizaron varias herramientas para diagnosticar el origen del problema. Supplier relationship management (SRM) best practices can improve supply chain performance and create competitive advantages by increasing customer value. The SRM process in food supply chains (FSC) enable closer customer relationships, promote trust and avoid potential problems, and enhance cooperation and problem solving, but SRM process studies in FSCs have been limited. The purpose of this paper is to measure and evaluate the SRM process in FSCs. Through a literature review and inputs from practitioners, the SRM process at three Peruvian coffee centres were evaluated. The results show that in order to successfully improve the SRM processes changes must be implemented. This paper contributes to better understanding of the SRM process within the Peruvian coffee supply chain.

El presente trabajo se desarrolló en una empresa metalmecánica, para mejorar su proceso logístico, en el área de almacenes, mediante la implementación de herramientas de Lean Logistic, como las 5S, ABC de inventarios, 7 desperdicios y una reestructuración de layout. Asimismo, se usaron herramientas de ingeniería industrial que ayudaron a identificar el problema y sus causas raíz. La implementación se desarrolló a partir de herramientas Lean Logistics lo que permitió reducir de 62% a un 10% los no conformes al proceso logístico, como también de reducir de 3.27% a 1% las perdidas económicas sobre las ventas. La mejora permitió obtener un beneficio económico bajo un escenario conservador de S/ 132,629 soles y una TIR de 38%.

La fabricación de botones para prendas de vestir a partir de las semillas de tagua en el Perú ha sido una actividad poco difundida en los últimos años. Esto conlleva a que la producción por parte de los artesanos y pequeños productores sea baja, ya que no cuentan con maquinaria autónoma que realice múltiples procesos. Además, el costo de estas máquinas autónomas es alta y transportarlo es dificultoso por su peso y tamaño, los artesanos optan por máquinas pequeñas que realizan un proceso en cada ciclo de producción. In Peru, the vast majority of health facilities, both public and private, still have medical record formats on paper. Migration to the electronic health records information system (SIHCE) has been seen to be a great challenge in many respects. The San Pablo Hospital Complex (CHSP) is made up of eleven health establishments distributed in four departments of the country. The leaching of valuable metals from mineral ores is the basis of several extractive economies around the world, but the strategies employed often need to rely on dangerous compounds such as cyanides. Due to the complex nature of most ores, leaching processes are slow and have a low efficiency in noble metal extraction, which is usually improved by fine-milling the mineral. In this manuscript, we consider this strategy, demonstrating that it may increase the amount of silver leaching, but at the expense of a higher consumption of cyanide, which renders the process inefficient (only 2% of consumed cyanide is employed to complex silver).
