This article aims to identify the way in which the Netflix platform demonstrates the concept of television flow in its catalog, based on the analysis of the original content of fiction series released in 2019. It also recognizes some programming strategies and techniques that implements this video streaming platform, considering the implications of big data and recommendation systems. The methodology contemplates qualitative and quantitative techniques and applies an analysis matrix based on a manual coding of 157 original fiction series, with variables such as launch date, origin of production, season number, chapters and total minutes released per season. Among the main findings, it is evident that Netflix achieves a television flow with permanent premieres throughout the year, the launch of content by seasons with full chapters, as well as the election of Friday and the spring season ...

TV News Channels in Peru exists since late nineties. This kind of media appeared as a public necessity because, in that moment, news coverage was coming from TV stations that negotiated its editorial terms with Fujimori and Montesinos. The second TV News Channel in Peru was Canal N (the first -Cable Canal de Noticias- also had negotiated with https Montesinos). This TV station was founded in 1999 and was the only one that presented balanced and impartial approaches to their audience in that time on TV. Since 2010, other channels have emerged, such as Willax TV, ATV+ Noticias, RPP TV and TV Perú 7.3. Recently, Capital TV and Exitosa appeared as an alternative space to present their radio news programmes but in an audiovisual format. Ecuador TV, launched in 2007, was the first public television channel in the history of Ecuador. As time went by, it was setting up as Rafael Correa’s spokesperson until the end of his term of office in 2017. Correa took several measures in order to ensure the control of news media and favor his staying in power. Following this strategy, he increased the number of state-owned and confiscated media outlets, although Ecuador TV became the most determining due to its geographical scope and audience. In the area of specialized news reporting, fashion occupies an increasingly role. The demand of the next media professional requires knowledge, deepening and practice to offset the presence of interested and intruder sources, which annul the role of the Fashion Journalist. This investigation is based on aspects like the lack of fashion specialized journalists formation, the lack of quality inside the journalistic texts and also the perspectives of new companies and work inside the Fashion Communication sector. “Águila Roja”, Globomedia’s TV series broadcasted by the Spanish public national wide television TVE (Televisión Española), has been turned into an interesting audience phenomenon in the last years in Spain; that’s the reason why it has been made a distributive audience research, a way to make inquiries about this TV series evolution from February 2009 to January 2012 with audience’s average, golden minute and share data comparisons by seasons and episodes. At the same time this information has been set in the environment in which the episodes were broadcasted to get a global wide vision.

This research was conducted to determine the recreational activity choices of the students studying at various faculties of the university. The main purpose of this study is to determine the factors that affect the selection of recreational activity of university students. A total of 156 students, 98 female and 58 male, studying at various faculties in İzmir Universities, participated in the survey. As the data collection tool, “Personal Information Form” and the scale made by Arslan (2010 and 2012) to measure the factors affecting the selection of the recreational activity type were used. This study delves into the realm of marketing by examining the uses and gratifications of ‘Yo soy Betty, la fea’ from a female perspective, given its status as Netflix Peru's top show for 54 weeks. The primary objective is to identify the needs it fulfills for young women and analyze the gratifications it provides. The methodology employed is qualitative, involving data collection through semi-structured interviews with 20 female consumers of the series, subsequently coded using ‘Atlas.ti’. Objective: To assess whether the prevalence of low physical activity levels and time spent watching TV differ depending on glycemia status. Methods: A secondary analysis using data from a population-based study was conducted. Two were the outcomes: physical activity levels, derived from the International Physical Activity Questionnaire, and sitting time watching TV. The exposure was glycemia status, defined based on results of the oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTT): euglycemia, dysglycemia, and T2DM. The T2DM group was further split into: aware and unaware of T2DM diagnosis. Prevalence ratios (PR) and 95% CI were reported using Poisson regression models. Exposure to television advertising promoting unhealthy food consumption may increase overweight and obesity risk in children. Objectives: To determine the influence of Peruvian television advertising and consumption of unhealthy foods in 4th to 6th grade children. Design: Descriptive cross-association. We present this new edition with the pleasant new that our journal has been accepted for inclusion in SCOPUS. We observe that researchers feel some concern for the innovative elements in the world of communication, but also for the universal communication themes as it is seen at all times. Innovative trends, with technological roots, must be known, and adopted to the extent that they contribute to the improvement of all actors of communication and ultimately of the whole society. And in that digital environment, we notice the presence of universal issues. Transmedia storytelling of TV series and at the same time how power or cultural identities are reflected in them, brings our attention. Fashion films are explored, as new advertising formats, and the gender vision that is transmitted in the messages expresses great concern.
