TV News Channels in Peru exists since late nineties. This kind of media appeared as a public necessity because, in that moment, news coverage was coming from TV stations that negotiated its editorial terms with Fujimori and Montesinos. The second TV News Channel in Peru was Canal N (the first -Cable Canal de Noticias- also had negotiated with https Montesinos). This TV station was founded in 1999 and was the only one that presented balanced and impartial approaches to their audience in that time on TV. Since 2010, other channels have emerged, such as Willax TV, ATV+ Noticias, RPP TV and TV Perú 7.3. Recently, Capital TV and Exitosa appeared as an alternative space to present their radio news programmes but in an audiovisual format. The increased cultural activity in Peru within the last years requires a media complement that contributes to advance in this sector and educate the public. In addition: culture, education and economy are key factors for social development and media must assume their responsibility by not just emitting informative messages, but also instructive, critic and orientated ones. According to academic and operatic music specialists and professionals, cultural journalism in Peru is not fully developed: in many situations great importance events are omitted and in others only trivial aspects are published. In that sense, to address such issues information professionals require a constant preparation and a high sense of ethics so they build a solid section with useful information for the public.

Ernesto Palacio (Lima, 1946) es uno de los mayores expertos de la vocalidad rossiniana en la actualidad. Ejerció como cantante entre 1972 y 1998, poniendo su voz de tenor lírico-ligero al servicio del repertorio del bel canto, participando en el “rescate” de títulos hasta entonces desconocidos y presentando su enfoque artístico dentro de este estilo. Como maestro, fue el descubridor y guía de Juan Diego Flórez durante su etapa formativa en 1994. Lo impulsó hasta llevarlo a Pesaro en 1996, año del debut internacional que le abrió las puertas de la Scala de Milán. También lo representó y acompañó en los pasos más importantes de su carrera.
